I think that I wrote a bittersweet chapter because first I cried for Nate and then I used the anticipation and tension of the two of them finally coming together to create a decent chapter and I'm happy with it.-NL

BTW this holly :D .... i can truly say that i cant bear for either Nate or Ian to hurt but i think ultimately Wanda has made her choice in Ian .. it just would hurt to mess Nate around any more and like in the saying if she loved him she would set him free :L ... The only other solution so neither would hurt was if Wanda was with both of them :L ( but would wanda want a poly?? ) :L who knows .... I also love your Kyle in this story like many other of your fans but Wanda/Kyle ?? wouldn't that jeopardize her friendship with sunny :/

I agree and I believe that Wanderer is trying to let go of Nate. She is just not used to hurting people. That is why she gave Melane back her body in the first place. I think right now she has to concentrate on repairing the relationship with Ian. I know Ladaane is crushed. (I love you Ladaane!) She reminds me so much of myself in her emotions.

I just hope that the rest of the story keeps you and the others as captivated as each of you have been so far.-NL

I haven't heard from you in a while! It's good to hear your opinion. While I agree that it was very exciting to write the wonderful reunion between Ian and Wanderer I was also incredibly distraught over the sadness of hurting Nate. Like Wanderer, I love him as well. As for Kyle, well, he has his share of issues too... with Sunny. It is difficult to maintain a happy relationship when the couple is not on the same page as we have already seen with Ian and Wanderer wanting to live and marry in two different places. They resolved their issues. The question is will Kyle and Sunny's 'baby' issue come between them? Who is going to give Kyle the family he seems to want?-NL

That's an interesting dilemma that Kyle is facing. It's funny because I love Kyle/Wanda, just not as much as Nate/Wanda, but that couple just spells disaster. There's Ian and Kyle's relationship to think of, Sunny and Wanda's, Ian and Wanda's, Kyle and Sunny's, . . . that couple ruins everyone's relationships. and yet I like it so much. It's funny because it seems like all the couples I love will never work out.

I'm guessing that Sunny will concede to Kyle's wishes and agree to have children with him. It seems the only way to resolve the issue.

I am new to your story and forum but here is my take. I believe that Wanderer belongs with Ian! He loves Wanderer, the soul, not just the body that she is in. She could never be with Kyle because he is just the replacement Ian...not the real thing.

Now I will address the Ian v. Nate issue:

1. Wanderer should have never opened herself up to receive affections from Nate. He's charming...who wouldn't fall for him.

2. I think that Nate is very competetive...i mean really, he was studying to be a politician. I think part of Wanda's allure is that he has to win her. Someone posted earlier that he never really had her. I think he mostly likes the challege.

3. When Nate first found out that Ian and Wanderer were in a relationship...he thought it was weird. Then I believe that he, initially, just wanted to have something unique. But then he got to know how kind and loving she was and fell in love with her.

I don't doubt that Nate's feelings are real but I believe that Ian and Wanda are truly meant for each other. Plus, Ian has put time in. He loved her in Mel's body, he loved her while she was in a cryotank, and he loves her in Pet's body. He is so dedicated to her that he would put her into his body so that she could be with him for the rest of his life! For Ian, that is the ultimate sacrifice.

Rick Malambri or Misha Collins. They're good Ians. But Sean Faris is the best. And for your Wanda, I'd say Candice Accola, because she's spunky. Normally, I wouldn't like her as Wanda.

I'm still voting for Kylanda! You should hold a poll on who should end up with who.

So, I checked out your Ians. Starting with Rick Malambri. He is hot and you and I have a definite link in what we **. Just as I chose Ian Somerhalder for Wes in For the Love of Brynn. I also chose Rick Malambri as another charater in the same series, but he doesn't emerge until the third book. I don't want to give anything away about the character other than he is another man in Brynn's already complicated life. As far as being Ian, I think he;s too young and too wholesome looking. I picture Ian as more rugged like Alcide on True Blood.

Sean Faris is too young. He might make a good Blake. Misha Collins- NO.

As far as Candice Accola. I love her. She has the right personality but I think she is too big. I think Jillian Zinser would make a better Wanderer.

Well good for her. I'm ditching frat boy - again (Ugh I just cannot make up my mind). I gave a long thought about it, then I remembered something I found smthing truly disturbing while reading chapter... uhh... 20... something?

It was the part where Ian choked Wanda.

Yes. he choked her. The loving, caring, sweet Ian.

Put yourself in the story. Would your husband ever choke you if he found out you had gone out of town with his brother? No.

He'd call you a **, divorce you, and block you out like a bad memory. He wouldneverraise a hand on you. That's like Chris Brown and Rihanna. It's absolutely disgusting. No one happy couple who are head over heels about each other would ever use physical means to unleash their outrage. It's not even healthy.

It's just plain scary. I get it, you want Ian to keep his badboy image - but that is not something a badass stud would do - that is the work of a nutjob. He LOVES her. I can't ever imagine Damon throttling Elena if Stefan and she got married. NEVER. He is studly and sweet at the same time. But he loves Elena. He will go down and hunt a fly if Elena tells the brothers it's bothering her. He wouldn't say 'Tell Stefan to get it, he loves you more.' Because that's exactly how Ian's acting.

No sane person who loves someone, cries about them, would ever hurt their special someone. Ever.

IT'S CRAZY.

I'd really appreciate it he were to shout profanities at her rather than physically ATTACK HER. See how crazy that sounds? Is it too much work to just delete the part where he choked her?

And another thing... how do they receive reception from the middle of nowhere?

I don't mean to be mean. It's just... I really liked frat boy and his brother, that part is just staining frat boy's character.

I didn't want to review this. I just brought up a few points that we can discuss, and fix, if you're okay with that.

Because I'm definitely not okay with Ian trying to murder the love of his life.

Don't be discouraged. I still find your story hot, steamy and adorable. It's just... frat boy is not acting like himself. Sometimes he's sweet, and sometimes he's psychotic. I cannot deal with his mood swings.

That's why I tell people go for Kyle. Because he's so chill.

Seriously: consider it, Piper Jason, Ladaane, toalli and all the others.And Ladaane - seriously, you go girl. At least someone agrees that Wanderer does not belong with Ian. You guys are just prejudiced. Just because SM wanted made him end up with her at the end of the book doesnot mean that she cannot get a little naughty, be open minded and date someone else. This is fanfiction! Anyone can end up anywhere!

I have been waiting for someone to go crazy over the strangle part of the book. I actually did consider changing it but I decided against it. As I said when my original readers read that part they were very upset. My greatest fan begged me to make it a dream. But if I just have him yell at her it would not have had the impact I needed which was for Wanderer to decide to go back to Nate completely unsure of her feelings for Ian due to the fear he put into her. I also needed him to come to his own senses and deal with his own anger issues. Having his mother there to help him definitely for me is a pivotal part of the story. It takes all of that for the relationship to come full circle and strengthen.

I personally like that Ian and Wanderer have both grown through this process.

Everyone is different, some may have walked away. Wanderer DID walk away but she realized that Ian is the one who holds her heart in his hands.

It's funny, I have been sticking up for Nate all this time and you have finally turned me to stick up for Ian. Thank you.-NL

It's too late to turn it into a dream.

Nothing has a greater impact than words. Not even physical torture. When you hit someone, the pain goes away after some time. But words? They ring in your ears, everyday, every night, reminding you what you had done. If my boyfriend ever hit me, I wouldn't be unsure of going back to him, I'd call 911. You see, when Ian strangles Wanda, she won't just fear Ian. She'll fear the human race. That's Wanda's nature. She'd stop talking to the world ifher true loveever did that to her. Do you remember how much Melanie despised Jared for hitting her, how much Wanda despised him?That's what Wanda's supposed to feel. She wouldn't come running back to him. Oh no, that is the last thing she'd do. She'd never talk to him. She'd cower in front of him, like she was afraid of him for strangling her at the beginning of the book.

I say words have a bigger impact because it makes her think about what he said, if he chokes you, all she thinks is 'How could he do this to me?'.

He could grab hold of Wanda, and aim for her face, but hit the car, if that's what you mean about anger issues. Not KILL HER.

That would have scared her plenty. But please, oh please, do not make him do this! This is the only part I hate! And there aren't supposed to be any parts I hate!

Grown through this process? What process? Her boyfriend trying to kill her? How does that make her mature? That just frightens her - you keep forgetting Wanda is a soul. That kind of thing is capital felony to her. Hell, it's felony to anyone.

Again, I don't mean to be rude, it's just bothering me. I just want you to change it. I mean, the majority hate it. Isn't it better to go with the majority? It's your story, but if you want good reviews, don't make everyone's favorite couple throttle each other.

No one will stick up for Kyle will they? Sigh.

Wanderer's not like that. Torn between two men - that's not her type. I likeherthis way, but Ian? Not so much. Hence the nickname 'frat boy'.

I understand that you are upset about Ian hitting Wanderer.

As far as Wanderer fearing the human race, Don't you think she's already crossed that hurdle when she had the snot beat out of her by Jared, Maggie, Ian, and Kyle? And then finds out that the humans were ripping souls out humans every time they came back from a raid? She didn't fear the human race, she feared Ian. But she didn't stop loving him.

Melanie may have despised Jared for hitting her, but where is Melanie now? Who's baby does she carry?

Wanderer didn't come running back to Ian. She ran away from Ian. Ian came to her and apologized and she told him she was afraid of him and she wasn't sure what she wanted to do. She DID cower in front of him and he slid away from her up against the wall. She eventually made the decision to leave. It wasn't until she realized that she still loved him that she returned. And he's been proving his love to her ever since.

Ian acted rashly. It was almost reaction on his part. Maybe he would have cursed her out if she hadn't run at him like she did. But as soon as he realized WHAt he did, he knew he had lost her.

As far as growing, tell me do you not think that in the last 10 chapters that Ian has not proven to have turned over a new leaf? He's done everything possible to prove his love to her. He is determined not to screw up and I personally think he is never going to forgive himself and therefore will not make that mistake again. He would walk away first like he did in the bathing room.

I'm sorry. I won't change the story. Wanderer is a forgiving soul. We know that. If she wasn't, she would never have forgiven those who beat her in the first place, including Ian.

I hope that in your lifetime that you never experience violence at the hands of your lover but be warned. Everyone has a breaking point. Trust me. I speak from experience.

And we all in our lifetime have at least one moment in our lives where we f*** up royally and it's bad and we wish we could start the day over so we could change something, anything and maybe whatever happened wouldn't have happened because we know it was our fault. You think you will never be forgiven but sometimes an angel comes your way and accepts you for you.

As much as Wanda love the humans, she knows what they are capable of. But she trusts them now, because they have stopped hurting her. If someone beat her again, wouldn't it emotionally scar her? After trusting thm all this time,bamher boyfriend hits her. Would she be able to bear this? Would she just act normal and have fun with Nate? I don't think she'd even want to go back to Nate. That one hit - that just makes her remember what the humans are capable of. That's why I say she would be afraid of their race. Best chance is she'd run away from them completely. Did she want to see the face of any human after they did these things to her? Did she?

And come on, we all know WHY all of them hit her. They didn't know what she was like. Getting over Ian took a long time - and plus, that was a huge misunderstanding. It was a natural instinct. But something as stupid a misunderstanding as this - Ian wouldn't kill her forthiscause.

And, if you read the book carefully, Ian doesnotmake rash moves. Remember what Jared says about the brothers? Kyle thinks too little and Ian thinks too much? It would be okay if Kyle did something like this - but Ian evaluates his every move. And plus, he treats Wanda like a porcelain doll.

Suppose he did act rashly. It does not make it necessary to aim for her throat. He could have just hit the car. Wanda being Wanda would have been shaking in fear by just that tiny gesture. And it makes more sense. Ian throttled her once, and he still hasn't forgiven himself now - he would never make the mistake of choking her again.Thatwas the lesson well learnt. He wouldn't dream of acting like that again - in his worst nightmares maybe. Do you think he's that stupid? You make him look like such a bimbo. All pretty, nothing in the head.

HE STILL HASN'T FORGIVEN HIMSELF! THAT IS **IN' WHY HE WOULDN'T DO IT!

I get it, Ian's been all sweet, which really changed my ships - but this is unforgivable. I wouldn't be able to look at my boyfriend the same way, if he was to do this to me.

Wanderer can forgive him. But not so soon. Cause him a bit more pain. (And possibly squeeze in a few Kylanda moments)

I'm sorry if you had to experience this - but dont make your characters go through something so horrid.

Come on. It's just one tiny alteration. PLEASE?PLEASE?!

Oh my gosh. Seriously. I've finally found someone who does not want Ian to end up with Wanda as much as me.

I'm an ardent Nate/Wanda fan, but I love love love Kyle/Wanda as well.

I totally agree with you that Ian is annoying (sorry Nancy!).

And it's weird cause I've thought the same thing, what I mean is that I think because SM had Ian/Wanda together in the end, a lot of people think that this story is the same way, but what people have to realize is that this is fanfiction! It's called fanfiction for a reason; so that fans can write stories using the same characters where everything is different and do things to the characters that the original author would not have done. That's why I don't want Wanda to end up with Ian, because I just don't like the way he's behaved so far in this story.

I know they're going to end up together in this story in the end, but I would love love love it if she ended up with Nate, or even Kyle.

p.s.- I've read Anything But! I love that story! Only the Ian in that story annoyed me. I really wanted Wanda to end up with Andrew, for some reason. I'm pretty sure I was the only one who felt that way.

p.p.s- Nancy, I have to thank you once again for writing Nate's Diary. I honestly am more excited for that than A Soul;s Hope, probably because I love Nate so much and can't wait to read about he fell for a person of a complete different species, and how his perspective slowly changes. Once again, I'm sorry if I annoyed you with the whole alternate ending business. It's just that I want Wanda to end up with Nate so so so bad (seriously, you have no idea how crushed I was when she ran back to Ian aka the guy who strangled her!) and as KB said, this is fanfiction, so couples can switch. But know this, if you ever do decide to write an alternate ending, you'd have two die hard fans for sure: me and Katherine's **, as well since I'm pretty sure she would want to read a story where Wanda does not end up with Ian. Love ya :)
