Appearance: A little shorter than average. Long ginger hair, in a ponytail. Blue eyes. Slightly tanned. Normally seen in his blue-and-gold uniform.

Personality: Gwydion is friendly, but has a short temper, and is normally tactless (you don't learn tact standing in the rain around a stone circle).

Personal Life Information: Was born and raised in Llamedos, and thus has a thick Llamedese accent. Used to play the harp at druidic meetings. Was informed he was the eighth song of an eighth son, and left for Ankh-Morpork at 13 to learn wizardry.

He was a pretty good wizard, but he was kicked out when an attempt at the Ritual of AshkEnte went disastrously wrong. He can no longer do magic. He rented a house in Dolly Sisters, got a job at the Central Post Office, and now he's a postman.

Other: The failed ritual gave him a strange voice. It's deep and echo-ey, and shall be written "like this." He can make it very commanding: "LIKE THIS."

Name: Eric. (He has a variety of false surnames, mostly parodying names of a certain ethnic stereotype...with a twist! For example, O'Really, O'Leery, O'Flattery, O'Done Again e.t.c e.t.c So it's probably best to stick with Eric. No relation to the book of the same name.)

Species: Human

Appearance: A tall and lanky teenager with a slender frame bordering on skinny, bright red hair, pale skin and hazel eyes. Usually found wearing standard Assassin gear, and a black hat which seems to have something different on it each time you see him. Past examples include small, furry animals and cups of tea that he put up there for later.

Personality: Eccentric is probably the best word to describe Eric - he's certainly charming, when you get around the fact that he seems to appear at the most inconvenient times, and his rather warped sense of morals can be very useful if there's a job to be done. He's not evil in the slightest, he just does understand the fundamental difference between right and wrong. He's also very slightly mad, which just puts the olive in his twisted martini of a mind. Um...to coin a phrase? To sum it up - he's unpredictable, untrustworthy but a whole lot of fun to be around.

Personal Life Information: Eric likes to alter the story. Sometimes he'll claim that his parents moved to Pseudopolis to build pyramids of jam, sometimes he'll say that he has a brother who's married a marmoset. He doesn't expect anyone to believe these stories, but he'll be very offended if you don't at least pretend to.

Name: Vitaly Dushenin von Uberwald

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Species: Werewolf

Appearance: 5'4", caught somewhere between baby fat and gangly teen stages. Curly brown hair and yellow eyes, with a long snubby nose. Overlarge canines, tough pointed nails and a line of fur running down his spine. He cannot transform his ears when he returns to human form, or remove his tail.

Personality: Sometimes petulant and entitled, but determined and well-meaning. Vitaly thrives on approval. He's young for his age, but always trying to seem more grown up. At this he fails rather endearingly.

Personal Life Information: Youngest in a titled family. His eldest brother left home, so Vitaly is now the sole male heir. He came to A-M to get an education, and lives with an old school chum of his parents who isn't around much, and tutors.

Vitaly's health was poor early in life, which affected his morphing abilities: he retains wolfish characteristics all month long even as a biped, full transformation is unreliable, and his wolf form is weaker than average. He's understandably sensitive about this, and has been known to introduce himself by snapping "I was ill as a child!" at curious strangers fascinated by his furry bits.

Um. That came out wrong.

Other: Vitaly's Morporkian is good, but sometimes his grammar is a bit awkward. He has a horror of veggies and overcooked meat, but loves taffy, anything with cinnamon, and hot drinks.

Name: Spyra Mells

Appearance: A slim girl just below average height with short, curly, dark brown hair, blue eyes and freckles. Usually found wearing standard Watch gear.

Personality: Spyra's an outgoing and amiable person, and is in fact very easy to get along with. This makes her job just that little bit more difficult, as she tends to sympathise somewhat with whoever's committed the crime. It's a well-known fact that wherever Spyra is, so are the criminals, yet she's got a very low arrest rate. Because of this she's become an unintentional honey trap - whoever's on duty with her will follow at a distance, wait until a criminal is spotted and shadow Spyra until she inevitably engages them in conversation. At that point they will arrest them, usually much to Spyra's irritation (we were having a good conversation there!). It's not that Spyra doesn't have a good sense of righ and wrong, she does, it's just that she dislikes conflict, and is almost too esy to get along withsh

Personal Life Information: Grew up on the outskirts of Ankh-Morpork, and ventured inside just to see what it was like. She planned it as a day trip, but Ankh-Morpork being what it is, within half an hour she found that she'd unwittingly rente a flat, and was on her way to find herself a job. In her usual easygoing manner she decided she'd go along with it and see what happened - she's been there six years now.

Name: Raph (last name unknown, pronounced Raff).

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Appearance: A small, skinny boy with skin that would be pale were it not so dirty, messy, long-ish brown hair and bright blue eyes. Usually found wearing whatever clothes he can find, and no shoes.

Personality: Cheeky and talkative, Raph almost always has a grin on his face. He's happy to help anyone with anything should it get him any money, but is often too clever for his own good, doing himself out of a deal by negotiating too hard. He's a born businessman, but rather too ambitious - after all, there are plenty of other street urchins that can be hired to carry crates. He occasionally lurks outside of the Post Office to see if he can nick any interesting letters, making him an enemy of Postal Workers all around - some of them have nicknamed him the "terrier", much to his disgust. Because of this he doesn't stay there nearly as often as he might like, and has turned his hand to pick-pocketing, even going so far as to attempt to acquire a temporary licence from the Thieves' Guild. They turned him away, but asked him to come back later - hope springs eternal, after all.

Personal Life History: Buggered if he knows! For as long as he can remember he's been on the streets, and earning money in whatever way he can.

Name: Tatsel du Catfield

Age: Physically early twenties

Gender: male

Species: Vampire

Appearance: Tatsel is 6' with wavy light-blond hair and gray-blue eyes. He wears intricate but all-black clothes, and carries a double bass around with him that is more often used for other things than playing (such as hitting people with or knocking fruit down from trees).

Personality: Excitable, animated and effusive. Tatsel is a real go-getter who almost always leaps before he looks and thus gets himself into trouble more often than he might care to have others point out. He can be stubborn and arrogant, and very vain for someone who can't see himself in a mirror.

Tatsel doesn't pick up on things too quickly; this may be because Morporkian is not his strong suit, or it may be because he is simply rather dim. (A combination of those two is most likely the case, as anyone who has known him for more than a few weeks will say.)

Personal Life Information: Born several hundred years ago in Quirm to a noble family, Tatsel ran away from home to join the theater. They wouldn't have him, for an obvious reason listed below, so instead he took up playing music in the trendy style With Rocks In. Eventually every band he tried to join got annoyed with him and kicked him out. And thus he ended up in Ankh-Morpork, looking for another band. Again.

Other: He likes to use his instrument case as an impromptu coffin when he can't find anywhere to sleep.

Also, Tatsel cannot speak.

Name: Uriah Ffoulkes

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Appearance: 5'10", with glasses, a mocha complexion and longish dark hair. Eyes change from green-gray to violent orange (see below). Usually dressed in light-colored corduroy suits and boots.

Personality: Easygoing and clever in a nerdy, bookwormish way. His personality, that is.

Personal Life Information: Well-to-do scholar from an old-money family. He amuses himself by writing the occasional book and doing the occasional lecture; his specialty is necromancy.

Other: That speciality backfired when he snuck into a highly classified, quite forbidden zombie-creating ritual and ended up in the midst of the circle at the moment of summoning a soul; Uriah got away safely, but with one very angry, very unpleasant soul stuck inside his head.

He calls it Leopold.
