Naruto: the ultimate underdog and the coolest guy in the series.

Sasuke: like countless others, I long to see see Sasuke redeemed and broughback to the Hidden Leaf Village. Alas, it seems like "Naruto" is no such fairy tale.

Hinata: she’s so cute!

Sakura: Girl kicks butt. I also like how she's developed since the series began.

Rock Lee: at first, I thought he was weird, but I still rooted for him. Then I read his story in the manga, and now I think he’s super cool.

Shikamaru: hmmm, it’s too troublesome to write anything.

Ichigo: good guy with a bad attitude, with some kickass power. Seriously, what's not to love?

Rukia: tough and loud; my kind of girl.

Chad: mighty in both body and heart. I'm starting to get annoyed with Tite Kubo for the way he seems to be downplaying him in the manga, as well as having him constantly lage behind Ichigo in power. Plus I've been browsing Bleach fan-fiction and was appalledto note how little attention he receives. If I ever get around to writing my own Bleach fanfic, I have some awsome ideas for new powers for him, as well as how he fits into the story.

Orihime: she may rank pretty low in the fighting department, but when the chips are down, she shows some real iron.

Byakuya: Everything about this guy screams "superiority-complex." The scary part is that he's got the power to back it up.

Aizen: this guy rules! Just when you think you have him cornered, you find out that you've been dancing right in the palm of his hand.

Kenpachi: FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! (I'm starting to think that bankai would just be overkill for this guy, but I still wanna see it!)

Mayuri Kurotsuchi: my old friend Alex said it best-this guy is one Soul Reaper you do not want to piss off. He is ruthless, unpredictable, and just too damn resourceful!

Things I like in fanfiction:

Well written and thought-out original characters that are not Mary Sues and fit in with the story the fanfiction is based on.

Fanfiction that is detailed and well written in the style of the original series and that appeal to my interests concerning that particular series.

Things I hate in fanfiction:

Character bashing: I don’t like the way it makes me feel all riled up and bloodthristy. Plus, in my experience, it usually targets characters that don’t really deserve it, like Kikyo. Sorry Kikyo haters, but while she can be rather easy to hate, and has some mean tendencies, she doesn’t deserve the negative image she’s been given in fanfiction. Besides, lets face it, she's pretty much been given a raw deal in life and she deserves a break.

Unwarrented gay and lesbian parings-I'm going to say right off the bat, I have nothing against gays or lesbians, and I am firmlyagainst gay-bashing. Nevertheless, as a heterosexual guy, I don't want to read about it. I mean, I reallydon't want to read about it; which is why it really pisses me off when I'm browsing for a good fanfiction in selections such as Fullmetal Alchemist, Psych, Warehouse 13, or Naruto, and all I find are a bunch of bleeping gay fics! What's wrong with these people?!

The warriorsorceress duo: It's hard to explain without sounding sexist, but I'll try. Men are traditionally associated with physical strength. An "ideal" man is usually depicted as strong and athletic. A man uses his strength to protect the woman he loves, his friends, and his family-the qualities of a noble warrior. Women are traditionally associated with spiritual strength. An "ideal" woman is usually dipected as beautiful and graceful. Since time immemorial, women in literature typically use their cunning and wits to defeat their enemies, qualities often associated with masters of sorcery. Put the mighty worrior and clever sorceress together, and not only do you have a formidible double-team, but a rather sexy couple as well.

Tricking-I saw first saw this when I was looking for a "Let it Rock" video on YouTube, and I was mesmerized. It had to be one of the most amazing things I've seen since Sea World and the time I got a window seat in the plane when we traveled overseas. Now I want to learn more about this sport.
