Because of the continued forum posting lockout, I have created a backup forum Son of Cabbages and Kings. Anyone interested may join me there. ( http://cabbagesandkings.proboards.com/index.cgi )
January 27, 2012. Since Fanfiction Net has disabled all external links from profiles, I must now post the URL to every story or forum that Fanfiction Net has forced me to keep off site.
What shall I say to introduce myself? I am old enough to know better, but that rarely stops me. My interests include politics, fine wines, gemology, spelunking and, obviously, LOTR/Silmarillion fanfiction.
Update 29 August, 2007: I have decided to post two stories previously only available at my LiveJournal. Both are inspired by Aislynn Crowdaughter's very dark and affecting tale, Mael Gul. I am exceptionally grateful to this generous author for allowing and encouraging me to write in her universe. Be advised that if you click on the link below, the tale is of an adult nature.
'Mael Gul.'
I am a proud member of Les Sept Dieux forum. If you enjoy a good discussion, check it out.
And please visit my own forum, Of Cabbages and Kings. ( http://forum.fanfiction.net/forum/Of_Cabbages_and_Kings/56768/ )
I believe flaming is counterproductive. Calm, courteous listing of mistakes in grammar, punctuation and whatnot works so much better. And please, would-be flamers, if you're going to engage in it, kindly make sure the quality of your own work is above reproach. You really look stupid chucking stones from a glass house.
Update September 11, 2010: To conform strictly to FanFiction.Net guidelines, I have removed the poetry quotations from one of my stories. Unfortunately, this has diminished the artistic impact of it considerably. For anyone who wishes to read it in its original form (and I highly recommend that you do) they may be found at my Live Journal ( http://randy-o.livejournal.com/ ):
