My Stories . Bio
Instead of flooding this part with stuff about me, I will mainly just use this to keep you guys up to date one the stories I'm working on and the plot ideas floating around in my head.
The Heart of the Matter: This is probably the biggest story you will see me write on here. Right now, it is looking to be in the 250,000 word range not including the epilogue. When I originally jotted down its outline, my only intention was to put Castle in a circumstance that allowed him to globe-trot, to have a very James Bond kind of adventure. However, when I was thundering through the first chapter, I realized that this would be a great opportunity to see if I can write a true epic detailing the conspiracy at the heart of the show: Johanna Beckett's murder. Over the course of writing this, I have been asked to take it off the site multiple times by more people than I can recall to turn it into an original story. As absolutely flattering as that is, I personally feel the plot for this story could only fit in the Castle universe. That being said, I will say that the journey writing this story has seriously hit me with the murder/mystery bug and I do fully intend to write an original one.
I'm with the Band: The result of too much sugar and not enough sleep. I'm still working on the 3rd chapter; Beckett gets her wish and this chapter is themed around ABBA.
Plot Ideas / Outlines written / Challenges
A few of these were prompts I requested in the 2011 Secret Santa Challenge, and as you can see, I'm a huge fan of "What If's" and completely fantastical scenarios. The rest are ones that I've been wanting to do for a while now. While I do intend on getting around to writing them, if you feel like taking them up, please feel free to do so! If you do, leave me a PM or a review in any one of my stories to let me know!
Castle / Harry Potter Cross-Over: Remember that time Beckett pranked Castle and Ryan into looking for her broom? What if she wasn't joking?
Rookie Mistake: Another very huge what if. It's Beckett's first year as Detective. She's tasked to go deep undercover to worm her way into a criminal organization. However, things go awry the night she is supposed to meet the kingpin at a club. She mistakenly identifies the wrong man as the kingpin and agrees to go on a weekend trip with him. Against what her head is telling her, her heart falls for the man. After she got back to New York, she is rather embarrassed and highly relieved that she marked the wrong man. Flash forward three years, Beckett is now a mom of a boy conceived that weekend. Throughout those years, she wonders if she will ever meet him again. One day, she is called to a murder at a bookstore. While looking around the body for evidence (between two bookshelves) something catches her eye. She pulls out a book titled "Storm Fall" and looks at it a moment. Just when she's about to put it back, a very large picture on the back catches her eye. When she flips it over, she promptly faints: the man in the photograph was the man she spent that magical weekend with; the man in the photograph was the father of her child; the man was Richard Castle.
