I am the perennial late bloomer. Returened to college in my 30s and now find myself a Grad student who should be working on my Dissertation instead of reading fanfic! Actually, ff is my escape; I work as a wine buyer for a wine shop and I'm also a cigar geek. I get offers of marriage because of my knowledge of cigars ;-) so, that's kind of interesting. Happily child-free except for the two furry four-legged doggy boys who share my heart and have such good taste when it comes time for them to buy jewelry for their mom-I taught my boys well! LOL

I really appreciate some to fhe fics I come across-there are incredible writers of all ages who just blow me away by their talent. The teacher in me loves so much of the writing I see here, be it good prose or well-written smut; neither is easy to do, so thanks to the writers! I love all things vampire, especially Twilight and Moonlight, but at the moment I'm grooving on Twilight fics. Until recently I was mostly a fan of canon but have discovered some incredible AU stories and I am a total Jasper whore and even though I love him with Alice, I like a good Jasper/Bella story too. He's just so much more complex than Edward in many ways, just MHO...

Now, if anyone hears of a University or nice college located somewhere with a beach, warm weather and lots of sunshine that is in need of a Professor who can teach in Women's Studies, Native & Chicano Studies and Critical Legal Theory, please send me a PM!! These student loans aren't gonna pay themselves...
