What I don't like:

A story filled with Mary and Gary Sue's. I can't keep track of them.

A story that bashes canon characters for non-canon reasons or to ship a pairing for personal reasons.

Claiming to adhere to canon and the writing shows otherwise.

Chauvinistic writing. Making the canon male character out to be some hero, and the canon female characters out to be temptress' and cheerleaders.

Inconsistent writing. Read it (out loud) before you submit it.

What I do like:

A well written story that promotes the beloved canon characters whether the author likes them or not.
