I read a lot - I suppose that's why I'm here. I write a fair amount, but it's most always original work, so unfortunately, it's not suitable for this site. By disposition, I'm an editor more than a writer, but I still love to create my own stories. My degree says that I spent too much time and money becoming qualified to do both, but who looks at those, anyhow? Every year, I participate in National Novel Writing Month. How writing a 50,000 word novel in 30 days reconciles with passing my classes and keeping my job, I still don't know.

I was raised on Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, and, slightly after those, the Dragonriders of Pern. Today, I still love these pieces. My favorite authors these days include Anne McCaffrey, Mercedes Lackey, and J.K. Rowling, but I read most high fantasy, urban fantasy, and science fiction that I can get my hands on.
