My Stories . Bio Fav: Stories
Helo, I figured I'd place a little bit about myself here for consideration. First note, I am a slash (m/m) writer and reader. If you have a problem with that, you should probably go. Don't get offended at me if I slash your favourite shows or books and put together two males (often despite the canon) together for my amusement. That said...
My nom de plume is Welsh, but means Irish.
I make eco-friendly zero emissions vehicles, but I drive a 20-year-old Jeep.
I have 8 cats. My dog passed away recently.
Moving on...
Current works:
Eiliadau (Bran/Will, Dark is Rising Sequence) - Eiliadau means 'Moments'. Utilising themes, this series of short stories chronicles moments in the relationship of Will Stanton and Bran Davies, from meeting back up at University through roughly a year, in 20 parts. It is an exercise in restriction and writing style. It is written under the supposition that his Old One self has direct effect on how Will Stanton has developed into the man he is 'today', his relationships with others, and his view of the world. It is also accepting the fact that information about the world today is easier to find than information on the times which this would be set in were it to follow publication dates though I have attempted to keep it as relatively timeless as possible. (now complete)
Ex Umbra In Solem (Jack/Ianto, Torchwood) - Ex Umbra In Solem means 'From the Shadow into the Light'. Another writing experiment, this time following Ianto Jones as he deals with first hiding Lisa then exposure, suspension, and eventually having to tackle the complexities of overcoming such things as he was able to avoid before. A between-the-lines kind of story, experimenting with filling some of those nuances only hinted at (or completely overlooked) in the series. Dark over/undertones to be expected. (updated 13 Nov 2012)
Random notes (aka to toot my own horn):
Eiliadau has been recced by the lovely JoanWilder (aka RaeWhit) on her Live and InsaneJournals. (http://joanwilder.insanejournal.com/122213.html) Thank you so much, JoanWilder, for the rec and the lovely words. She writes mostly Harry Potter fanfiction (Snarry pairing) which can be found at her website: http://raewhit.brokensymmetry.net/
