Bonjour, mes chéris!

I'm just a Canadian girl who loves Harry Potter and Harry Potter Fanfiction.

I'm twenty years old...and a bit of a dork, but a somewhat lovable one, if I may say so myself.

I might not write any stories; I don't fancy myself as much of an author so chances are I won't be writing much. But reading is my absolute passion, so I will most certainly be reading, and perhaps leaving reviews for your stories.

Oh, and about the French? Yeah, I'm French Canadian.

Anyway, a bit more about my reading and whatnot:

I like romance in stories...but not too much. I mean, I don't read stories where it's about one couple just snogging it out 24/7. I also cannot stand it when an author changes the background information supplied by the book they are referring from just to fit their needs. In other words, I only like—what is it called again? Canon? Yeah, that's it. I only like canon stories. I will, however, for the sake of not being a total stick in the mud, read stories where parts of things are not absolutely mentioned in the book, but are somewhat believable. A Harry Potter example—because I am bloody obsessed with that series—would be pairings such as Oliver and Katie, Rose and Scorpius, Hannah and Neville, and Luna and Rolf. None of those are strictly mentioned in the books, but I'll take them, mostly because I would be foolish not to. Plus, the thought of Rose and Scorpius getting together makes me snigger—poor Ron, poor Draco, poor Arthur, poor Lucius. Heheheheh.

But I mostly love reading about missing moments from the actual series. Or changed perspectives. I absolutely love reading about Ron and Hermione's perspectives during the Deathly Hallows, as well as Ginny and Neville and Luna.

Characters... alright, so I don't hate characters in books unless they're an absolute imbecile. An example would be Dolores Umbridge. I tend to always look out for the good in people. A reason why I readily forgave James Potter I for being an asshole in the Order of the Phoenix, why I forgave Snape for being a total nitwit to Harry, why I forgave Draco Malfoy for joining the Death Eaters, and why I forgave Dumbledore for wanting to rule the world.

Regardless, out-of-character writing is an irréfutable pet-peeve for me, and I cannot tolerate it. I'm sorry, but if you try and get me to read a story where the main character—or any character, for that matter—is out-of-character, I will not do so. OH—and while we're on the topic of getting me to read a story, I would be absolutely delighted to read and even review stories by any authors out there who would wish me to! Just drop me private message, and I will get to it as soon as possible.

I will also review/favorite any stories that I like or appeal to me, and most probably regularly review them.

Now, I shall bid you all goodbye. For it is time for me to depart. But fear not, mes chéris, for I shall be back a bientôt! Je vous aime tous! Au revoir! Adieu!

Cordialement,
Abby
