I am well aware that my full FFnet name handle is a bit on the long and pretentious side. I was on a total Latin kick at the time I picked it, and I've had it (and its LJ companion handle) for a great many years now. Too many people recognise it for me to feel comfortable switching to something else just to save myself some personal indignity. It's all good. It means "Dawn is friend of the muses" (Swedish: Gryningen är musernas vän), and carries, in my opinion, two meanings. The first one is the same as "Early bird gets the worm", meaning that being up early and productive will get a lot done. The second is more personal to me, being that the early mornings and late nights are the times when I get most of my writing done.
