Well, let's see: Fledge, the winged horse (Pegasus) and Reepicheep, the Talking Mouse, both from C.S.Lewis' Narnia books, they sum up nicely what I would like to be, as well as my idea of good reading. (Strange there is not any Narnia ff story anywhere, isn't it?) HP, though is still better in many ways, I think.
