Bio Fav: Stories . Authors
I'm a single mom of three, and I love to read and to write. A long, long time ago, in a galaxy that feels far, far away, I was the beta reader turned co-author with a friend on some long-forgotten fics. Seriously--my computer crashed, and my friend quit writing and we fell out of contact, so I don't even have copies of my work anymore. As for individual writing--I've been on this site for a looong time, but haven't gotten the courage to post anything here yet. Maybe someday. :-)
I'm a school teacher with some background in literature and creative writing, so I'm very picky about what I read. There are MANY stories I start and quickly give up on due to poor grammar or storylines that are just TOO out of character, but for stories I love, I try to leave reviews with kudos and/or constructive criticism. Sometimes all I can say is, "Wow," or, "Yummy. Happy sigh."
I'm a hopeless romantic, (and a bit of a sci-fi/fantasy-adventure geek.) My two favorite authors of all time are Madeleine L'Engle and Jane Austen, but I love so many authors from so many genres that it would take forever to list them all.
Star Wars (Han/Leia)
Remington Steele (Remington/Laura)
Scarecrow and Mrs. King (Lee/Amanda)
Lois and Clark: TNAoS (Clark/Lois)
The X-Files (Mulder/Scully)
Friends (Ross/Rachel, Chandler/Monica)
Buffy The Vampire Slayer (Buffy/Spike)
Stargate SG-1 (Jack/Sam)
Stargate Atlantis (John/Elizabeth)
XMen Movies (Wolverine-Logan/Rogue-Marie)
Harry Potter (Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione)
Bones (Booth/Brennan, Angela/Jack)
Covert Affairs (Auggie/Annie)
Hmm...that's all I can think of for now... :-)
Ohhh...ok. I'll be honest--those aren't the only couples I can think of that I ship. I do have 3 kids, and they love to watch Nickelodeon and Disney Channel. So, as weird as it makes me feel to admit it, I've gotten hooked by a couple of the teenage romances.
Zoey 101 (Quinn/Logan)
Are ya happy now? Ugh. ;-)
