I thought this was going to be a one-shot, like the Community paintball episode with demigods, but apparently this is an actual chaptered story. Okay then?
Starting in media res is great, but you need to explain what happened to send these people here at some point or another, preferably sooner rather than later.
Also integrating this story with social media (Facebook?) is kind of lame...

Very good opening. Love it.
The second half wasn't as good as the first, sure, but it was still well written and you didn't have any reason to fear showing us.
You still put capital letters after speech marks, which should only be in some circumstances, but it doesn't lessen your creative skill.
Looking forward to the next bit.
