Awww . . . thanks for a great Valentine's Day story! I swear, you've given Tonks more characterization in these thousand words than she got in the books *or* the movies - and I like her even more than I did (which was already a lot). Their back-and-forth rings absolutely true to me: I know it wasn't the reaction you were probably going for, but when Tonks (nearly) shouts "Because I love you!" I was smiling very broadly because . . . yeah . . . that *so* feels real to me.
Gosh, I miss those two . . .
