Hmm, it's an interesting story but you have written Elizabeth as far too OOC.
Her blaming Darcy entirely for the insult to Charlotte, when quite clearly it was her mother at fault; Elizabeth wouldn't have been blind to it and whilst she might be angry at him, she would place the majority of the blame on her mother and also be embarrassed about her behaviour.
And Elizabeth definitely would not declare that the Bible is her favourite book!

I just caught up on this latest chapter. I love the E/D/Colonel F conversation. I wonder if Mrs B or anyone else noticed the conversation or goodbye? And I wonder what E is thinking now. I saw Colonel F's slight reference to needing to marry money, but it wasn't clear if E picked up on that, or if she would mention it if anyone asked her about the possibility of a relationship with him. Great update!

Misplaced modifiers can be amazingly amusing. I love that Mr. Darcy was inappropriately eyed by Mrs. Darcy's rude companion. To avoid confusion, you might want to reword your sentence to say, "the husband of the woman he'd been inappropriately eyeing."

Well, I have a lot of questions XD like, how in the world Lizzie ended married with the Viscount? they hadn't interacted so much... or maybe the actual Viscount died and the title passed to the Col. And he was the one she married? And then he died too and she marries Darcy? Lol that's a lot of murders I have made XD I don't know but I'm eager to know.
And how is that Wickham is in Hertfordshire with the Militia? Isn't he suposed to be in Pemberley? and why is he part of the militia if he's still with the Darcys?...
And me, like Rose are wondering, why was Mrs . Darcy acting so cold towards her husband?... XD

So glad to have found your story again! I read the intriguing prologue some time ago, but never saw the subsequent chapters until now.
I really like the premise. The addition of Mrs. Wickham influencing matters, and her son still welcome at Pemberley adds a whole new twist to things. I shall be very curious how the colonel's influence might assist Darcy in digging himself out of the unfavorable hole he has dug for himself. There is some work to be done there.
Do you have a posting schedule? I'm enjoying the well crafted, lengthy chapters and am greedy for more ;)
