That writing isn't half bad, though you may want to work on characterization a bit so they'll seem more three dimensional. And I don't think Hermione would have called him a mudblood the first five minutes in the room, maybe after a week or two if he started to bug her, but if she'd never said it before it would probably have taken longer.
