Dayum. I love this background you created for Natsu... At first I was thinking... "This is going to be another one of those crappy 'I'm depressed because (insert name here) doesn't love me' type fics that are all over the place." But I gave it a chance, and I am so glad I did.
After the first chapter... I've just been drawn into another world. I literally blocked out everything else and all I could imagine was images belonging to this story.
I usually find myself going, "Oh, all that crying and calling oneself a monster is overdone/too much." But it worked in your fic, you had substance to this fic that I enjoyed... You made the words flow and connect together in a way that I struggle to attempt.
This story flew in such a different direction than I thought it would... (As a side note that may amuse you as it did me, I automatically spelt 'would' as wood at first. LOL)
But anyways, it went in a different direction from what I expected, and I'm loving ever minute of it. The last sentence of chapter 9 caught my attention specifically. It showed how not everything in Natsu's past is simply "I'm the victim," but how the past is twisted into this mush of... just Dark... I'm not really sure how to describe it, honestly.
All in all, your fic is amazing and utterly hypnotizing. I love the work you've put into this, as I myself try to write things like this, but always fall short in making it come alive.

This story isn't recent and that's why I'm actually surprised no one's said this but the first thing i noticed was that you really really need to put trigger warning somewhere. Don't get me wrong I already love the story line and want to keep reading but seriously please put trigger warning in the summary or something.
