Kiritsugu Emiya:
Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Expert Marksman, Magecraft, Enhanced Senses (Can give himself night vision with magecraft, and can detect magi in pitch dark conditions with the Walther WA2000, tracking their Magic Circuits), Hypnosis, Time Manipulation (Can speed up or slow down his own time), Biological and Soul Manipulation (His Origin Bullets cause necrosis and permanent nerve damage, on top of frying a magi's Magic Circuits, which are contained in the soul and expressed through the body, leaving them incapable of using magic), Resistance to Magic (All magi have basic resistance to magical effects), Regeneration (Low-Mid through Avalon; allows him to regenerate from lethal wounds, such as his bones and tendons being torn apart due to Triple and Square Accel, and from having his heart and lungs crushed by Kirei)

Attack Potency: Wall level (Can fight and wound Kirei), at least Large Building level with prep (Destroyed a skyscraper with C4). Ignores conventional durability with Origin Bullets (Against living beings, the Origin Bullets cause no visible wound or bleeding, instead causing necrosis and permanent nerve damage on impact, and are even more effective against those using magecraft, causing their magical energy to go out of control and fry their body and Circuits).

Speed: Subsonic with Massively Hypersonic reactions (Should be comparable to other magi), Massively Hypersonic with Double, Triple, and Square Accel (Using Double Accel, he disappeared from Kayneth's view, and he can barely keep up with a Mantra-boosted Kirei with Triple Accel, managing to outspeed him with Square Accel).

Lifting Strength: Unknown

Striking Strength: Wall Class (Stabbed Kirei in the knee)

Durability: Wall level

Stamina: High. Managed to survive All the World's Evil to live normally for years, even as it ate away at his mind and slowly killed him.

Range: Standard melee range, tens of meters to hundreds of meters with firearms (Can see and fire on a target from up to six hundred meters away with the Walther WA2000)

Standard Equipment: His firearms; a Calico M950, Walther WA2000, and the Thompson Contender. His Origin Bullets and Avalon.

Avalon: Excalibur's sheath, a Divine Construct of the same make. After using it to summon Saber, Kiritsugu implants it into his own body as a Master's Noble Phantasm, providing him with spectacular regenerative abilities that allow him to make full use of his Innate Time Control. It can heal even lethal wounds, quickly regenerating Kiritsugu's heart and lungs after they were crushed by Kirei, and healing Shirou after he was nearly cut in half and lost most of his internal organs on two separate occasions.
Thompson Contender: Kiritsugu's Mystic Code, a one of a kind weapon used to fire his Origin Bullets. It is an incredibly powerful handgun, but its true power lies in the Origin Bullets, and not its sheer firepower.
Walther WA2000: A heavyweight sniper rifle, one of only 176 units produced. It is specially equipped with night vision capabilities, using a super effective video camera that amplifies light, and a thermal scanner. It can also detect the Magic Circuits of a magi from hundreds of meters away.
Intelligence: Kiritsugu is a professional assassin who true to his title, specializes in eliminating other magic-wielders. He is skilled in every manner of modern combat, from knife work to the use of firearms and explosives. He is also known for his extensive planning and extreme pragmatism, evacuating a building before collapsing it with some well-placed explosions rather than risk his life by facing Kayneth's traps personally. With help of Avalon he is able to face Executors like Kirei Kotomine, the Church's elite heretic hunters, on even ground. However, he is constantly plagued with the guilt over the people he's killed and the decisions he's made to save the many (such as downing a plane full of Ghouls with his mentor and surrogate mother still inside).

Weaknesses: Kiritsugu's Innate Time Control takes a toll on his body; Double Accel pushes his body to its limits, while Triple and Square Accel would be lethal without Avalon. His Origin Bullets are ineffective against purely physical protections, such as military-grade armor, and can be rendered ineffective by using something else as a source of magical energy as opposed to the user's own supply. Avalon is useless without his connection to Saber.

Notable Attacks / Techniques:

Magecraft: Kiritsugu is an average magus whose abilities mostly lie in his pragmatism and use of modern tactics and weaponry. The Emiya crest is carved into his back, although, due to his father's Sealing Designation, most of it was confiscated, and he possesses less than half of the original amount. By channeling magical energy into his eyes, he can see in perfect clarity even in the darkest conditions, and has basic hypnotic abilities that can only be used against those with no magical resistance. Due to his research, he is knowledgeable on Bounded Fields, and can penetrate them with incredible skill. He has two elemental affinities, Fire and Earth, which reflect his dual Origins, Severing and Binding.

These Origins are different from the concept of "destruction and rebirth"; there is no chance of recovery with binding, as even if you tie together a cut string, it will still be cut. It affects his entire life, making him incompetent when it comes to handling delicate machinery. However, he makes full use of his Origins with Origin Bullets, special conceptual weapons made from two of his ribs, ground into dust, with his soul preserved through magecraft, before they were sealed into sixty six bullets. By the time of the Fourth Holy Grail War, he's used thirty-seven of them, and he brings twelve for use during the war.

These Origin Bullets carry on his Origins and actualize them within the target, which can cripple living creatures with ease. It doesn't leave any trace of a wound in the form of a bullet hole, but the affected body part will suffer from necrosis. Even though it may appear to heal on the outside, the nerves and capillaries underneath never recover, and the function of the limb is lost forever. It is even more effective against magi, affecting them even if they block with barriers by travelling through to the source of their magical energy - their Magic Circuits. Denser magical energy for a more powerful barrier will only cause greater harm. "Severing" causes the target's magical energy to ignore their pathways, violently flowing through their body and causing severe harm, while "Binding" binds together their Magic Circuits in a useless arrangement, making it impossible to stand anymore, let alone ever use magecraft again.

The only ways a magus can effectively protect against his Origin Bullets are to discard all their magical protections and guard against it through purely physical means, or to draw their magical energy from something else instead of their Magic Circuits. During their fight, Kirei makes use of both methods, first protecting himself with Command Seal boosted Black Keys, and then swatting aside the second bullet, though it nearly tears his arm off. While one can recover from the wounds, the damage underneath remains, and even if a magus successfully protects themselves, a wound caused by the bullet can still permanently disable a limb.

Innate Time Control: The Emiya family magecraft, researched by his family over generations, reaching the level of High-Thaumaturgy, a Bounded Field that can be used for time adjustment. While normally applied to a large area and requiring a large amount of magical energy and rituals, Kiritsugu applies it to just himself, chanting "Time Alter", followed by the degree of speed he wants to use. He can use accel to speed up his time, and stagnate to slow it down. He most often uses Double Accel for a quick burst of speed beyond human limitations, while he uses Triple Stagnate to reduce his biological processes to a third of their speed. It slows his metabolism down so much that his body temperature drops to near room temperature, and his breathing and heartbeat become so slow that they cannot be detected. The "incorrect" time results in his body being pushed to his limits, bursting blood vessels and fracturing bones. Without Avalon, Double Accel would be his limit, and Triple or Square Accel would kill him, but with the regenerative abilities that Avalon provides, he is able to use them effectively and for longer periods of time.

Kirei Kotomine:
Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Master Martial Artist, Magecraft, Healing (He heals one's soul rather than their flesh), Soul Manipulation (Can handle spirits and affect the spiritual bodies of others with ease, and can exorcise spirits with a Baptism Sacrament), Pseudo-Precognition (He can predict the movements of others by sensing their killing intent and following their fine body motions), Statistics Amplification (Kirei can boost his physical capabilities with Reinforcement or with Command Spells, potentially raising them to the level of a Servant), Regeneration Negation with Black Keys, Mind Manipulation with Angra Mainyu (He can control the mud of the Grail, which melts the body and mind of whatever it is exposed to, usually driving them insane and killing them), Resistance to Magic (All magi have basic resistance to magical effects) and Curses (Due to having his heart replaced by the corrupted Grail, he is resistant to curses targeting humans and can manipulate the mud of the Grail without consequence)

Attack Potency: Wall level (Can easily break a tree in half, easily overpowered Shirou while dying, and when he had no magical energy left), up to at least City level with mantra boosts (With sufficient boosts, he'd be capable of defeating Ciel and True Assassin). Ignores conventional durability with Angra Mainyu (Destroys the body and mind of those it touches) and to some extent by attacking internal organs with Bajiquan (His martial arts focus more on damaging one's internal organs than the rest of their body, allowing him to severely injure tougher opponents).

Speed: Subsonic with Massively Hypersonic reactions (Even when completely devoid of magical energy, he easily blitzed Shirou, and he earlier kept up with his top running speed without exerting himself at all), Massively Hypersonic with mantra boosts (With one Command Spell, he barely kept up with True Assassin, and with more, he can reach the level of a Servant, casually kept up with Kiritsugu when he was using Triple Accel).

Lifting Strength: At least Athletic Human (Effortlessly lifted and held Irisviel von Einzbern, who weighs 52 kilograms without clothes, off the ground with only one arm)

Striking Strength: Wall Class, up to at least City Class with mantra boosts

Durability: Wall level

Stamina: Extremely high. Continued to fight Kiritsugu after losing the use of one of his arms, and somehow managed to stay alive for an entire day after his heart was destroyed, and then fight and easily outmatch Shirou while dying.

Range: Extended melee range, tens of meters with Black Keys and Angra Mainyu.

Standard Equipment: A number of Black Keys (usually around ten), his bulletproof frock (made of Kevlar and reinforced by protective spells), and several Command Spells.

Black Keys: The main weapons of the Church’s Executors, a sacrament taking the form of a long, slender sword. Despite appearances, they are not made for melee combat, but instead as projectiles. By hitting a target’s shadow with a Black Key, the target is immobilized, incapable of moving away as their shadow is pinned. They negate regeneration and have the ability to intervene against “evil”, allowing them to pin even Servants, though they cannot lethally harm them.
Intelligence: Kirei is an incredibly intelligent individual with great skill in manipulation and combat, having been trained as an Executor, the elite killers of the Church, since an early age and acting like one since the age of 10. Skipping two grades and graduating when he was only 14, Kirei is a prodigal Executor of exceptional ability. Over the course of his life, Kirei has fought and killed many magi, and even Dead Apostles, remaining calm in even the direst situations, allowing him to calmly and easily react to gunfire, and he can stay a step ahead of his enemies in combat by sensing their killing intent and reading their fine body motions. Thanks to his aptitude for "opening wounds", Kirei excels at manipulating and analyzing others and then dredging up their past trauma in a fight to throw them off and put them at a disadvantage. On top of this all, Kirei is a master martial artist with great skill in Bajiquan, and though he refers to his martial knowledge as being a mere mimicry that lacks heart, it is still enough to allow him to easily outmatch Kiritsugu and Shirou in hand-to-hand combat and threaten even Servants. In Heaven's Feel, he was even capable of defeating True Assassin with prior knowledge on his capabilities, baiting him into using his Noble Phantasm to kill him in exchange for being pinned to a tree by his Black Keys, surviving Zabaniya thanks to his heart of curses. Throughout Heaven's Feel, he manipulates many of the events in accordance with his ultimate goal, manipulating Rin, Shirou, and Sakura and ultimately outsmarting Zouken. While he may be an incompetent magus, for the most part, he is one of the greatest spiritual doctors in the world and has the great ability when it comes to handling spirits and healing the soul. This allows him to easily remove Shirou's Command Spells and even remove much of the Crest Worms in Sakura's body when using his own Command Spells.

Weaknesses: Angra Mainyu can be survived through sheer willpower, as demonstrated by Shirou and Gilgamesh. During the events of Fate/stay night, Kirei is past his prime.

Bajiquan: Kirei is a practitioner of a branch of Bajiquan, the legendary martial art practiced by Li Shuwen, referred to by Gen Urobuchi as "Super Bajiquan", born from a fusion of regular Bajiquan and magecraft. It is a reckless art, one that Kirei refers to as a "mimicry of taolu without much in it", but he is still exceptionally skilled. He takes the shortest route to damage his opponent's inside rather than their outside, crushing Kiritsugu's lungs and heart with a single blow, and badly damaging Shirou's internal organs even as his skin turned to steel. He has mastered the art of "hearing a move", and doesn't need his eyes to detect and react to an enemy's movements, predicting and easily reacting to them. Even when Kiritsugu accelerated his speed by three times and Kirei had one usable arm and blood in his eye, he was able to block all of Kiritsugu's attacks with one hand. In his final fight with Shirou during Heaven's Feel, his skill was such that Shirou didn't land a single blow.

Magecraft: Kirei was born with Magic Circuits despite being born into a non-Magus family, a reward for his father's years of pious worship. While he studied many types of magecraft under Tokiomi Tohsaka, he mastered none, always stopping short of the last step and discarding all his previous efforts. He is ultimately a beginner-level magus. The only magecraft he shows any real skill in is physical reinforcement and spiritual healing. His skill as a spiritual doctor is among the greatest in the world. Spiritual healing revolves around the healing of the soul rather than flesh, and Kirei's knowledge allows him to use it to remove the Command Spells of others. Using Command Spells, he is able to realize a miracle and perform surgery on Sakura Matou to save her life from the Crest Worms eating away at her body and mind.

Baptism Sacrament: The sole spell officially taught to members of the Church, the words of God and the greatest weapon against spirits. By reciting the chant, Kirei can exorcise wandering souls, nearly instantly destroying Zouken's spiritual body. He survived only because his true body is located elsewhere, but it still injured him extremely badly, accelerating the degradation of his soul. It can even potentially destroy Servants without a Master, as at that point they are no more than another wandering spirit.
Command Spells: While Kirei initially only had the three Command Spells given to every Master, he lost those when Assassin died, and later gained new ones when the Grail deemed him worthy. He inherited an even greater amount of Command Spells from his father, all of those collected from previous wars, and he can transfer the Command Spells of others to his own body. While he can use them to command his Servant, this would be idiotic, as Gilgamesh's pride would not accept such a slight, so he instead uses them to reinforce his own magecraft due to his weak, underdeveloped circuits. Through these "mantra boosts", he can boost his strength to a level comparable to that of a Servant, allowing him to defeat the likes of True Assassin and Ciel in combat.
Angra Mainyu: After being shot in the heart by Kiritsugu, Kirei was revived when the mud of the Grail washed over his Servant, Gilgamesh, and, unable to corrupt him, followed the line of mana to Kirei. It healed his wound and his connection to the Grail acts as a replacement for his heart. It makes him highly resistant to curses that target humans, rendering him immune to Zabaniya and allowing him to freely interact with the mud of the Grail. Due to his connection, he can manipulate it as he pleases as long as the Grail is available, creating whip-like tendrils from the mud to attack opponents. The mud's curse melts one's body and mind, exposing them to the full curse of All the World's Evil, and ultimately destroying them as their mind and body collapse under the weight of all the pain and hatred.

Hayato Furinji:
Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, uses both the Sei-Type (a user of this fights not with power or anger, but with talent, skills and wit) and the Dou-Type of martial arts (a user of this fights using their anger to exceed their limits, as such, they tend to be aggressive in combat, and rarely strays from the offensive) of Martial Arts, he however specializes in Sei, is the creator and a master of Fūrinji Style, it can be assumed by his extensive knowledge of martial arts that he knows just about every martial art in existence, or is at the very least familiar with them, is the creator of 108 different special techniques (including the Seikūken and Ryūsei Seikūken), can create two types of forcefields around himself the original Seikūken (Hayato creates a barrier around his defense zone and can thus neutralize or repel all attacks that enter his defenses) or the Ryūsei Seikūken (Hayato uses his flow to lock onto his opponent's movements and through that he can predict the direction of the attacks and as a result can use minimal effort to dodge them - accurate to the millimeter), can create afterimages, can use a body splitting technique, Obstructive Lung Voice allows Hayato to narrow the path of his voice, and release it in a shockwave form, through this only one person can hear a message he is transmitting (This is a hypersonic voice), "Bi-Vocal" allows Hayato to divide his trachea, lungs and vocal cord into the right and left side, he can then speak two sentences at once, is able to create an axis in the middle of his body, and control the left and right sides of his body freely yet separately (this allows the Elder to act like two people), can limit his strength to up to 0.0002%, can run on water, perfect balance, can progress through observational gaps to hide his presence, Chi Manipulation (can use this to knock people out or mask his presence, can kill opponents with killing intent alone), ki detection, Rittoku No Kan (the user takes the five senses to the utmost limit and develops a sixth sense the "Intuition of Perception", it allows the user to reduce their time needed for reacting to one-tenth of a second, used like a sensor to catch movements they can't follow with their eyes). Can erase people's memories by using a concussion technique.

Attack Potency: At least Multi-City Block level (Can defeat people with comparable durability to him. Stomped multiple WWII military bases. Superior to Silcardo Jenazad who singlehandedly kept his own nation safe from war. Has been stated numerous times to be able to casually stomp a disciple using only 1/5000 of his power. A disciple being able to do this)

Speed: High Hypersonic (Is capable of throwing kicks so fast that even high-speed camera's slowed down to 1/1000 of a second can only barely catch a glimpse of them. This feat is realistically above 10,000 m/s or Mach 30 given the fact that the camera even at 1/100 could not see him move at all, assuming it caught him moving a centimeter at this value he would have a speed of 10,000 m/s, added to the fact his right foot was only a blur at 1/1000 this number is pretty concrete)

Lifting Strength: Unknown

Striking Strength: At least Multi-City Block Class

Durability: At least Multi-City Block level (Withstood the point blank explosion of a nuclear missile)

Stamina: Extremely High, didn't show any sign of fatigue from running across an ocean

Range: Standard melee range, higher with shockwaves

Standard Equipment: None notable

Intelligence: Very wise and is a skilled combatant and master of various martial arts.

Weaknesses: None notable

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

Seikūken: A defensive technique first deployed by Elder himself. It involves controlling the entire radius within one's arm length, creating an impenetrable shield around oneself. The Seikūken can only be erected with a calm mind (i.e. jumping around or moving will make it difficult); if one is not calm, it would be near impossible to erect the Seikūken.
Ryūsei Seikūken: A more advanced version of the Seikūken, instead of controlling the radius the Seikūken turns into a thin layer of skin to anticipate the flow of the opponent. For this technique you have to be absolutely calm, as even slight changes in emotion can disrupt the flow but even though you can read the moves of the opponent it doesn't mean you can dodge it. There are 3 levels in Ryūsei Seikūken.
Level 1: Read the opponent's flow.
Level 2: Combine the opponent's movements with your own.
Level 3: Overpower the opponent by anticipating his moves and use his flow against him before he even thinks of it.
Shockwave of forgetfullness (Feat ): Can erase an opponent's memories by using a blunt force attack from both hands to each side of the opponent's head. He can apparently control how much a person will forget.

I can see what his masters were doing to get Shirou thinking of what hero means to his peer group and what other paths there are.

This chapter doesn't mean that there is a full blown cross with any of those settings. It just means that there is an US military brat Samantha Carter there who we all know her future template. That doesn't meant star gate exists here. It means that the writer took Samantha Carter and deaged her, tossed her family into Fate/Stay.

Actually, lets do some math Fate/Stay happens in 2004. I think Shirou is what about 17 in that? and the fire happened when he was 7. He has been with his dad for two years so Shirou is about 9. That would put the date about 1996 or so.

Come to think of it the entire SG series or just the movie happen just without Sam's part of things. She might not have been as needed, and it happen roughly the same for the movie. Or she was needed for the math and though Daniel was able to do some translation the star gate math/astrophysics/gate dailing befuddled them so they didn't get around to dailing off world. So no alien contact here.

Well, except for the Types and True Ancestors.

Kayaba Akihiko was apparently born early here. I just looked him up and he shows as born in 1995-1996 and 28 at the end of the Aincrad Arc. Him being 9 in this fic really doesn't change squat. If anything, it'll just be that Shirou will have a long-term investment that makes him a fortune before he needs to trade the stock.

I actually like the idea of Kayaba Akihiko sparing against Shirou or just watching Shirou train. Come on don't you want to see Kayaba watch him do his daily exercise and mutter about Shirou turning into an anime character or something. Shirou could easily be the inspiration behind a swords based game.

I had to look up Kenji Koiso. He is being about their age works out. He can easily end up doing his bit in the future, but it likely won't effect anything here.

Thinking about it. Kayaba creates 3 AI on his own. That was a huge deal for them and kept well hidden for social issues.

The bad guy that Kenji Koiso ends up fighting is an AI. That's about all I could find about him other than he could crack math codes in his head. O.k. I have no idea how that relates to anything else in the fic.

I'm going to say that the 3 math / video game club members / characters were just filler clutter background for this one bit scene. If they even show up again, it'll be merely to teach Shirou computer/hacking/programming skills so depending on how close that they supposedly bond to show up and pat him on the back when his dad dies.

Sam will likely move back to the US with her family. At most, she'll be a pen friend. Kayaba would be long term invest that makes money, but is generally forgotten about. Kenji Koiso was that other math guy except his family either moved or sent him to the other middle/high school so he basically got dropped out of Shirou's life just by life happening. Either way, none of them really have any reasons for being involved with his life long term.

O.k. crack fantasy. I can't help but wonder what would happen if those 3 actually did start excerising after getting curb stomped by Shirou. O.k. by the time Sam actually does get into SGC she's master class. Wouldn't you want to see her break Telac without any issues?

The other two i really couldn't see how that changes things. I could see Kayaba as a master class actually preventing SAO. How or why? As he has learned just how much raw skill/effort/training is required to become master class and it is actually possible... well he'd still want to show off weapons skills to the world, but he'd think that the video game experience itself would slightly cheapen things. If anything, he'd end up turning SAO into a stealth training sim.
