Heh, reminds me of the old Bert-and-Ernie Sesame Street Christmas Special, if that makes any sense?
A very nice Snoogletog gift indeed! They might not have gotten the gieft they wanted, or had been able to /give/ the gifts they wanted, but in the end, they got, and gave, the most important gifts of all...their love.
Very sweet.

This story reminds me of "Gift of the Magi" and, judging by the title, I'm guessing that was the inspiration. I'm still unsure why the snow hurt both of their eyes, but that's not important.
Anyways, nice story. I actually prefer reading Christmas stories outside of the holidays because they don't feel forced. Not that all Christmas stories written in November/December/January feel forced, but for some it seems as though the author felt they HAD to write one and didn't put any feeling into it. But...yeah, this one is good. :)
