This is emotionally brilliant. Your writing is almost flawless and easily conveys what you intend.
I visited Auschwitz with school a month ago, the stories that you hear are tragic and cruel. This is realistic, sticks by them.
I look forward to reading the future installments.

I am just about three chapters into this, but WOW I got very teary a couple of times already! I think you're doing an excellent job with this, and I can almost hear the silence when it happens? If that makes sense. The tension and the ache between them is almost tangible as well as Combeferre's desperation to help and Enjolras pain. Just. Yes. Their relationship is beautiful here and I'm going to read more soon!

Oh wow, I'm so glad you've continued this story! It is one of my favorite ones out there. I really liked this chapter, because we got to see some of the dilemma's and struggles both Combeferre and Enjolras suffer. I like how they can explain their thoughts to each other without necessarily agreeing with one another. I think that shows how deep and true their friendship is.

I think it would be interesting to see where you go from here with the psychologist - that is if Enjolras truly goes to see one. I can go both ways I guess, because I know that psychology at that time wasn't that much experienced in war trauma or PTSD. Maybe things'll only get worse for Enjolras or more difficult, though I hope that won't be the case.

Anyway, great to see you writing again! I hope to see an update real soon :) Thanks!

Glad you're back! And thankfully Enjolras is amenable to the idea of getting help. (why is it in my head he runs into Victor Frankl?). Kudos and thanks for this!

I love your story! Enjolras is my favourite character (I love his so ling speeches!) and I think the way you depict him is really interresting! It's true that if he'd have lived in the 1940'th, he would have taken part to the Resistance...
What I prefer in your story is the thinking way of Combeferre, and the description you give of Grantaire is surprising (I guess you decided not no keep his sceptical aspect).
I'm looking forward to read the next chapter!

(How do I start reviews again? I've been out of the loop for so long that I've forgotten.)
Anyway… Thank you so much for this wonderful, emotional overload of an update! I am still in love with the way you write Enjolras and Combeferre's relationship and oh Enjolras's attempts at rational very nearly broke my heart- either that or the fact that its' been all go for me for the last week and a half is starting to get to me! Very, very well done and one question; would there have been doctors specialising in PTSD or trauma in the aftermath of WWII? It's not something I've come across; but I'm intrigued to see where you go with it!
Much love and keep going,

Squee I've missed reading this story so much! Lovely updates, as ever my friend. I so hope Julien finds himself again soon. I can't decide if I like Grantaire's advice or not... I hate to see Enj have to be on his own, but it would be helpful in the long run, and they know that... UGH. My heart is aching! Absolutely aching!

So glad I'm all caught up on your amazing stories now, love. I adore you!

Stay revolutionary!

Thank you so much for updating! This is one of my favourite fanfics out there, honestly. I really love the conversation between Combeferre and Grantaire in this chapter. I like how Grantaire is the guide for once. All the behaviours are just so real. I can totally picture all of them acting the way they are. Really, really well done. Thanks again and I'm looking forward to the next chapter.
