No offense intended but thats a stupid and selfish decision. They are in no way preprardd to have a kid- clarke nor the 100 in general- and its entirely f'd up for her to make bellamy live with knowing she got knocked up by that jerk. And if she does die, if i was bellamy, that kid would be adopted out to the grounders, traded for medicine or something. Finn shouldnt still be hanging around to ruin stuff

Love this so far. Hopefully you'll show Bellamy's POV too.

This was so good and I’m so glad I finally got around to checking out the 100 fics on ffn instead of only on AO3. I don’t know why I didn’t do it before but I’m glad I took the time to anyway. I loved this, and I love the way you described Clarke and Bellamy’s relationship — it can’t simply be described as love, it is bigger and grander and deeper than that. Their relationship was great, and I’m so glad you also took the time to give the rest of the cast time and development too, and special props for Monty. Monty has always been a favorite of mine and in the last few chapters, i was thinking to myself, “If you kill Monty off, so help me God I will drop this I don’t care how good this is otherwise.”
Glad to see that he is in fact still alive and thriving, my boy proved himself to be MVP and I’m glad you know how great he is too.
As far as made up cast members go, Peter is my absolute favorite. First of all, using and incorporating Native American/First Nation Peoples’ history and a character who was a descendant of them was genius and wonderfully done. The fact Peter had his stories handed down to him orally like they had been for generations was super appropriate and makes a lot of sense in the overall setting of the plot, even amongst the things that drive me crazy — real people DO tell their descendants things about their lives and history, even in a more casual way than traditional storytelling like Native tribes may do. So the idea that Grounder culture could have become as rich and detailed as it did, with new languages like they have, could happen in less than 100 years makes no sense to me. Unless the survivors’ memories were wiped after the blasts, and they therefore had to start from scratch (then how would they know English, and at that, such a similar dialect to the Ark?) that happened way too fast. That’s just a few generations. Assuming you had kids around age 20-25, that’s up to 5 generations. The third gen may still be alive, as grandparents, and surely their grandparents told them the land they live on used to be a country called the United States and the capital was Washington DC, where Ton DC now stands. Not that hard.

ANYWAY, I was starting to go on too long there. Peter’s history is consistent and makes sense in the inconsistencies and nonsensical things that drive me crazy about canon. In addition to being wonderful and useful. He saved their assess, so he’s really MVP #1 (Monty’s #2). Plus, I love the way you described how he comes alive when telling stories.
I was lowkey crushing on him through this fic. If I was part of the 100, aside from the general issues of mortal terror and constant things that I prolly never would survive anyway, the hardest thing about living in Earth would be the inability to write down the stories that come to my head. And to a lesser degree, surprisingly, being pretty unable to find more. That would probably crush me in a way the grim realities of the situation couldn’t.
But then Peter comes along? Bellamy may know a lot of mythology and history and love it canonically, but here, even that’s not enough to top the way Peter can weave a story for you. Bellamy’s more like a textbook in this story. He’s more practical and pragmatic in his reading and teaching and love for learning and stories. Peter is an epic if true histories answers morals and fantasies and stories and lessons. How could you not love that? Truly, who better for a lover of stories than a Storyteller?
If he was real I’d be so gone for him, you have no idea. GONE FOR HIM, I say.
Thanks for creating my ideal man and than having him be fictional. It’s not like I already had plenty of wonderful men in fiction that I loved and then you made one that would be even better in a more realistic setting and set him around the top anyway. Totally not agonizing or heartbreaking at all.

Anyway, I love this so much.

Thank you for writing it.

Love,

I'm not one to reach out to authors, but you are incredibly talented! The character and relationship building was rich and full of heart. You managed to put into words the most amazing connection it made me jealous! I hope you are prolific and someone with real money recognizes your gift! Thx for the heads and lolz.

Good story but I would’ve preferred if it was Bellamy’s child not Finn

Hmmm. I have enjoyed the story all the way through thus far. The writing is actually quite good for fanfiction. Although these past couple chapters, something has just been on my mind with this baby drama. I understand what you were going for with this story, but I just don't seem to get it.

Throughout the story thus far, and the series in general, Clarke has always been practical. Your story in fact takes that to another level. The thing that's odd is Clarke would realize more than anyone that a baby isn't practical. Pregnancy isn't practical. In fact, pregnancy may very well mean death. This is all known and touched on a bit in the writing. However Clarke would know this better than any other character in the story thus far.

She would be the first person to understand that an abortion is the right course of action. If this entire story is all about "Our survival first, emotional baggage second.", this whole baby plot isn't going with the theme of the story. The list of how impractical it is to have a baby is just miles long, and the thought of having it just doesn't fit with anything you've had Clarke display from this point forward.

Death in childbirth, infection, consumption of medical supplies, additional mouths to feed, Clarke being out of commission in the later stages of pregnancy, Clarke requiring more food, the baby requiring around the clock care once born, Clarke's time to assist the camp being reduced drastically, the emotional baggage that comes with the said baby, and more.

I understand you wanting to put in real life problems. That's fine. You just put in real life problems on the characters that would be the quickest to say "That's impractical and doesn't make sense, lets have a baby when we're ready for it."

This plot line could have far easier been introduced with both Sam and Baxter and a rape baby. And then the character could already be showing early signs of pregnancy because you don't know how long ago the raping started. I wish it had gone that route because right now in these past couple chapters I feel almost as if I'm reading different characters(Despite the story still being good)

I absolutely loved it so much. Great job at establishing a real portrayal or what living on the ground would be like without all the flashy explosions and guns. Just kids taking on adult responsibilities. Bellamy Blake was a caveman and I adored him. Thanks for giving me that portrayal because you don't see it often :)
