Not a bad chapter. Admittedly not a lot happened in it, but sometimes you just need a transition chapter to move the plot along. You can't keep things fast paced all the time, and random timeskips are often boring to read- though again this must be balanced with filler. Anyway, quality wise it was well written and it can certainly be seen how even when you do a scene similar to canon you attempt to at least change the conversations and introduce slight variations to stop people getting bored. I wonder what other divergences will occur in the future, and eagerly hope shit will hit the fan eventually, leading to canon being irreparably different. Nothing is more fun that screwing everything into an unrecognizable mess and trolling your audience for every flame and tear they're worth... wait... that's just me. Ignore me! Good luck writing and update whenever is most convenient for you.

You love to use the word fuck don't ya. The chapter definitely felt like an bridge from this to the next arc. I swear could of explained that a bit better with his knowledge on one piece. But hey Patrick is one parniod bastard right now.
I really hope you don't include hollows or soul reapers. I wouldn't mind it if Patrick was able to see the spirits that reside in one piece like the going merry's spirt.

he could learn to manipulate the soul of his own body to increase endurance / strength and the ability to heal
or learn the trick used by the shinigami to protect your body with spiritual pressure

Good fight, if converting spirt energy to a one piece it's the equivalent of will power and manifesting it into reality. At least that is what haki in one piece is to me being able to impose your own iron clad will into reality. Right now Patrick is the their best defense against logia fruits.
