Wonderfull story to be sure, long, complicated, with extensive character development, mysteries, and all of that staff, there is probably only a questuon of time before hiccup and toothless create enough suits and jewelry to everyone on Berk, now i imagine all of insane legends who will rise, legends about wizards, capable to turn into dragons and return to true form without any difficulties... Althought some of them will be dragons in reality, to outsider this probably will be inexplainable... Hm, also these four night furies are improbably to be the last ones on the world... Some of them may even here these absurd stories and decide to relocate... Huh, that is probably some idea for this universe.. But after all story was ended well, end there is no real need to continue it, some mysteries probably will better remain mysteries.

Can you make an AU in witch the king instead puts them in a cave to wait for Hiccup,s spell to end, and when astrid starts transforming back into a dragon she turns into a night fury instead of a nadder. Also in that AU, when stormfly takes her amulet off can she transform into a light fury.

Something that has been bothering me since astrid got sprayed with acid, is why no one has thought to aim mainly at Alvin's throat. One of the main problems of being a dragon are the communication issues... Alvin can't effectively lead his army if nobody knows what he's saying in the moment.

The interesting thing about re reading this story is that now that i look at it the spellcrafting you explain isn't to difrent from programing, just the spells interact with the real world instead of a program...

A story worth many reads. Probably my most favorite fanfic of all time if not in the top 3. I hope there's more, though, as you allude to a bigger world.

And here we are again, at the end. I almost never though we would make it, all the twist and turns that came and went, all those changes, tricks and hidden meanings.
Its over, finally over.
I may not have been around much for the end of the story, personal life getting in the way and what not, but I am incredibly happy to have been apart of something so massive and epic such as this work of Fanfiction. To have contributed in some small way to help make this story what it is. I'm so very proud of this, and I can't even imagine the pride (And the relief) you must feel.
This chapter is a good end to thinks, giving each of the characters their own little set up in the new life that the Berkians are trying to make for themselves, one that is not without its difficulties, or its complications. But one that does seem to hold a bright future for them and ends all their side stories and arcs on a positive light-hearted tone.
I don't really know what you plan to do after this, or your plans to follow up on this story with anything else, but whatever it is I hope you enjoy the fact that you did finish this, and that it is perhaps one of the longest Fanfictions I have ever seen or read. Do as you wish for now, and I wish you luck for all your future endeavor-ers (Hah)
