Well. Did not see *that* coming. You walked us us to the edge of obliteration just to put us back a few steps to start down the path again. Very tricksy. I *like* it. Great descriptions of the confusion and chaos going on in various parts of the world (except for John, of course) and poor Harold trying to stop it. Very enjoyable and well crafted. So…what’s next?

I forgot to mention. If you want to know what book Harold was reading look up 'Colossus: The Forbin Project' on Wikipedia. You'll understand why Harold is so out of sorts and freaked out.

Especially knowing that you're healing from your complete knee replacement surgery, in pain and not feeling the best, I doubly appreciated that you took the time to finish the story, because DAMN! I did not see that coming! haha! That was so fun. Loved the twist at the end. clapping
Loved the visual of Harold with his hands on Roots hips. The intimacy between those two makes me feel all warm inside. I wish we could see it really happen on the show! And that they had obviously slept together BEFORE she went to CON-ED made me giggle in delight. I would dearly love to hear how that version of events played out! And that he was so quick to reassure her that them sleeping together "wasn't just one of those things" at the end, I'm still chuckling.
I wanted more (but who didn't) and I know you had more planned but I also know that you felt badly for making us wait so long for an update and got this up amazingly fast.
Maybe when you're feeling a hundred percent, you might come back and give us an epilogue of the epilogue, because I would love more! :D

This was too short for an ending. I wanted more. And I haven't read the book so I can't comment on that part. I hoped for more but it was a good story while it lasted.

What a fucking shocker of an end! I have read the books so I understand the meaning of what Harold is going through. Best ending ever! Did not see that coming at all! Now we're left to consider if all that happened really happened or was it just a dream brought on by Harold's overactive imagination! I'm going with, it happened and he and Root are going to live happily ever after. That my story and I'm sticking to it. LOL. Great read!

Fantastic drama. So well wriiten from the descriptive settings to the heightened dialogue of all those trying to figure out what is happening and those that have a pretty good idea and are powerless to stop it.
Again brillant story.

Wow. This chapter is amazing. The buildup of the suspense was skillfully done; the details of the various scene settings were great. And the little touch of humor (“John was elated which translated into a mild lifting of a brow.”) was well placed. Well done. I think we need to see more of this type of writing from you ‘cuz you do it so well.

I liked the General and I liked the Senator. I didn't like that we had to go back to a plot chapter. LOL. You know I am all about the sex. But I have to admit that it was pretty good reading even if no one had sex. Did I say I really enjoy the sex stuff? These machines are either really cool or really scary. I haven't made up my mind yet. Good chapter other than the no sex part.

I had to re-read to get all the action going down. So the Machine fired a set of missiles that it is exploding above the targets but another round is headed for the President and his people hiding away some where, right? It's taking out the Big Guys? I hope I got that right. I found myself rather tense when reading through the first time. Which is a good thing. I was in the moment. LOL.
