This is one of the most beautiful stories I've ever read. Seeing Maleficent opening with Aurora and exposing her feelings was so thrilling. Your writing is excellent and you have been able to capture Maleficent and Aurora's feelings very well about everything. And that ending was so sweet and lovely. I loved the fact that Aurora thought of Maleficent as her mother and decided to call her that, because that is what she is.
I also agree with you about the relationship between the two. To me, Maleficent and Aurora are simply mother and daughter, nothing more than that. Their relationship is so pure and beautiful, and Maleficent really feels a motherly love for Aurora.
Anyway, your story was wonderful, and I would really like you to write more about Maleficent, even if it's been a while since you posted this story.

I love this . I definitely agreed with you about the mother-daughter thing, though I don't mind the pairing. This is really sweet, and if you want to write that Frozen/ROTG crossover. You should, though it's up to you if you feel like it.

Oh, I loved this so much. I'm grinning, the ending was so sweet. I'm so glad Aurora's consideration of Maleficent as her mother brought Maleficent so much joy.

Going back through the archive I found this. Well done.
I've determined, after spending a few years reading on this site, that for every potential pairing, there is a fan. I just pick and choose what I think I would like to read and read it. And let's face it, when Sleeping Beauty came out, there were no issues with a girl turning 16 and immediately marrying an older man and starting a family. Going back through history, the age gaps could become quite significant. It's not the age difference that bothers me. I'm always about the relationship. Is it healthy? Is it positive? If there's a yes to either of those, whether or not it's a romantic relationship or not doesn't have as much strength for me because it's about the characters and story.
I've read some amazing stories, and some terrible stories- albeit those rarely to the end- and I've found that I haven't liked some things I thought I would and have enjoyed some things I never thought I would.
Anyway, thank you again for writing this.
