Oh fantastic imagery! So lush and vivid, my eyes read along the sentences and each description fired my mind with flares of incredible scenery, like fireworks bursting and fading but soon replaced as yet another and then another amazing turn of phrase ignited the screen! 'Drunken bee', 'as if he were the barest of curtains brushed aside', and then the whole structured sentence from 'the fatigue in his bones' through 'only blood loss could' was such a wonderful indicator of what was going on - BUT overall, Wow, just wow!
I love so much of this! That final attempt to smile, only to have it 'smudge around the corners' Ha! HAHA! The joy that reading your work brings to me! It's like opening presents! Each paragraph leading me to new surprises and new delights! Red, you out did yourself with this and I look forward to what you have in store for its twin! Keep up the amazing work!

Yeah, I was thinking of Leo and Raph here too, though both could be interchanged I guess. Or it could be Don and Mikey. I like how you kept them anonymous so we can interpret for ourselves who it is. And I just love the style you have and how you described the Turtle fighting for his life and almost succumbing before he realized it wasn't what he wanted. Nicely done on this, Rebel. I loved it and will be eagerly awaiting the follow up.
