If the purebloods were presented like this it would have made the books different, on a related note why would Voldemort want to take over this world? Say what you will about Tom riddle in the books he was a genius in his fifth year he found the chamber of Secrets unaided he also managed to break the record for horcruxes by 6 none till him made more than one-though there may have been a reason for this

I think magic triumphs genetics just look at Targerayans everyone is hot to boot and no pure blood could compete to them in their pureness and only few of them goes crazy.

Wow. I totally would like to read more about... erm, Hogcallers. Wouldn't want to go there, though, not if you paid me.

I guess it just isn't me that hears "Dueling Banjos" in my head whenever I see the word, "Pureblood".

Absolutely hilarious fic! I think I hurt myself laughing.

If it's hillbillies then it's from HP's generation and onwards since the 'purebloods' were a lot more numerous before the climax of the war. And the purebloods dying out was actually Dumbledore's fault since Voldemort wouldn't had fought any of the opposing purebloods in the first place.
Lily Evans marrying hillbilly Potter? Probably got potioned. Or Harry's actually someone else's child.

while wizarding culture would probably be more along the lines of habsburg inbreeding then the rural kind, its still a rather apt parody

Egad! My family came from the flatlands in Tennessee, on the Kentucky border, but my Great Uncle Harvey married a gal from the mountains of east Tennessee named Myrtle (4 feet tall and 4 feet around) Myrtle never owned a pair of shoes other than work boots until she married Harv and moved to South Fulton. They had 12 kids and loved each other and their kids with a passion. The day after Harv was buried, Myrtle got in their old wagon and headed back to the mountains...

I may just write their story using Harry as Uncle Harv...
