Good chapter but it was too long I feel some of the impact is lossed by how long it is.

Amazing chapter, Zahariel! If I may point just one small mistake, Akrane should be a Callidus assassin - Culexus are pariahs, not shapeshifters. Keep working on this story :D

Well this is a long chapter a lot of effort clearly went into this and I must say the units of the first legion suit their twisted ideology.
Lorgar is back and now we shall see how the long war unfolds.

You know, this does bring up a question having reread Flight of the Eisenstein. Would Tuphon. Grulgor and Garro gotten along any better here than in cannon?
Just a question that's been bugging me

This may be overthinking on my part but I wonder who would have this Córax turned into if the techlords were a bit nicer and smarter. I mean, torturing a misterious superhuman whose power limits are unknown and whose creator may show up in Kiavahr some day can only end on disaster.
Maybe if they had let him with a few caretakers instead of shunning him of human contact and leave him a few days of rest between experiments. Or maybe if the lords had taken him to visit the ill slaves and convince him all his suffering was for the good of their people (Which would be half truth but still technically true).
Then again, it that had happened I imagine Córax would have become a cold minded individual and firm believer on "the end justifies the means" and thus a new pawn for Tzeentch.

Of all your alternate version of the primarchs I like this one the most. He is the kind of hero the Imperium needs: A leader not afraid of getting his hands dirty and willind to go into the darkness so other don't have to yet still determined and faithful.
By the way, mi personal interpretation of his adoptive mother's death is that the eldar had a very brief vision of herintervention and its consequences and chose to stab her.

The Eldest. Wraith of Konrad Curse? In my mind it has to be. He killed a primary, though injured, with ease, and it would make his killing potential displayed this far make sense. Would also explain the Inquisitors reaction, along with the paralysing aura and fear it invokes. Just a guess but a fairly confident one
