The Vasto Lorde Hollowfication only comes out when Ichigo is in his Bankai. If it's his normal Shikai then it's the Hollowfication form he had when Urahara was training him to get his Soul Reaper powers back before going to the Soul Society.

Personally, for me, it was such an open, uninspired show of force through reatsu pressure on guild members that ruined everything. Yes they don't behave very appropriately, but this is their home and their family. Ichigo looked at best like a guest who decided to poke his gun at the owners of the house.

This story is just... very underwhelming, I can forgive the characters being kinda dumb because this is fairy tail where the power of friendship wins rather than actual tactics and strategy but for the love of fuck, stop emphasizing things only to fail to deliver your stated scope and scale.
This story is mostly tell and no show simply because you fucked up the power scaling so obtusely that it seriously strains ones ability so suspend their disbelief, you should have simply used a younger version of Ichigo.

This is kinda boring, Ichigo barely affect the plot and the fight scenes are horrible. Ichigo is stronger than S class mages like Erza by a large margin yet the fights are still long.
