haha welp you just pissed all over anyone being even remotely amazed by dragonite if he was going to make an appearance.
You cant really go bigger in the shock and awe department than a legendary unless you have your own...which ash doesn't. and here I was hoping for a crowd goes wild moment but oh well.
I'm looking forward to charizard making an appearance against alder...assuming ash makes it that far. I'm pretty sure that's ash's strongest pokemon currently.

Oh, it's just Heatran. I thought it was Groudon or Moltres. I'm sorry but in the games, Mamoswine and Heatran are nearly equal. BUT Mamoswine has the advantage with its ground typing. Sure Heatran is a legendary, but he's 4x weak against ground. Hell a well placed dig can knock him out. But then again, this is Anime rules. I'm just saying. I've had to restart when trying to capture Heatran because an earthquake knocked him out lol.

Absolutely fantastic.
I could describe this story with those two words. It has really been a while since I last time enjoyed reading a Pokemon-fanfic as much as I did right now.
I found this story when I went to check your author profile because you haven't updated your another story for a while. I have to ask: are these two stories related in any way, or are they completely separate? If they are separate, I would focus solely on this one. Not to say that the another one is bad or anything, but I honestly believe that this 'Apex' has much more potential as a story than the other one.
The scene with Piplup and Gible's Draco Meteor was hilarious in chapter 2! I'd love to more scenes like that!

A better chapter, but still some mistakes.
Liked it a lot though. Ray and Pearl hints were awesome. Especially how Cynthia teases Dawn. I am happy that Rayship was just a troll, though. Cynthia too mature for Ash.
I wonder how will May and Misty rda t when they rejoin Ash. Oh...and Serena too.
