This is so painful when you remember that Enjolras is not safe and that he dies along with everyone else. Very moving!
I loved the way you described everything and the mood that went with this. I liked that you had Combeferre be Catholic and believe in God and be religious while keeping true to his character because I imagine all the barricade boys were at least baptized into the Catholic Church, even if they did not hold true to the religion later in life.

Nice D Ik las dit toen je 't net gepost had precies voor het slapen gaan. Ik ging net naar bed en toen had ik een mailtje van ff dat je iets nieuws gepost had en het deed me een beetje denken aan die ene keer dat ik in Parijs ben geweest dus dat was precies ook nog iets fijns om aan te denken voor ik naar bed ging. Ik zag je berichtje op tumblr trouwens vandaag, ik hoop dat alles een beetje oké is met je.

I read your posts on tumblr regarding doing something like this, and as always, my darling, you've done it very, very well. It was so deep and emotional combined with some beautiful imagery because Paris is a truly beautiful city, both day and night. I also love how it reminds us that even if sometimes doctors can seem uncaring as to what the patient wants and only seem to care about their physical health, but this reminds us that we're all people and we get sad and depressed and lonely and we all need some consolation once in a while. A wonderful job, mon amie!

P.S. I also read your tumblr and saw you had a prompt for an asthmatic!Enjolras, and I'm sorry to say that if you were to make that into a story, even though I know you will do it as brilliantly as you do all your stories, I won't be reading it because I have this trigger with asthma. Sorry

Oh my darling, this was wonderful! I loved Combeferre's quiet moments of reflection and his grief at losing one of his patients was just palpable and how his convictions mapped straight onto Enjolras- really well done! All in all another stunning piece- your talent has grown so much and it's a joy to watch it- I can't wait to hear more from your other stories!

This was beautiful, I really enjoyed it! I never thought of Combeferre being a religious person, but it works very well. The ending was hopeful and sad at the same time. Good job on this one!

Yay you wrote something new! I really enjoyed this. I like the age difference between the two, I think it really helps Ferre feel protective over Enj, but it's not too big a gap for them to not be friends. I'm glad you had a nice holiday!
