oh I wanted to say, about all of your fics, I love how to name the titles of your chapters a foreshadow to the content! I keeps me excited and I often find myself looking at all the names and trying to figure out the story :)

Oh what a nice surprise to find these "missing moments"! Love it! You describe each individuals emotions really well, it's especially interesting to see what Thorin and Dis have gone through.

I had been wondering about that conversation. Not quite what I expected. I love a surprise! Oh Fíli... nobody is made for this sort of stuff, but hey, if it comes your way, you gotta deal with it, and I completely agree with Goldberry, Kíli does so quite nicely. I love the sibling dynamics you write. Like this being strong for somebody else accomplishes anything... I'm so glad you already posted the full story and we know that this is all resolved.

I've heard reviews are good for sprained ankles...
Thorin finally cries. The poor darling. I'm glad he a least lets Dís see his tears. And that she has the good grace and experience to not say anything about it. Ahh, that just gets my headcanon all fired up. And then Thorin, Dís and Dwalin all crying together. Wonder if that has ever happened before - after the fall of Erebor, Azanulbizar or any time in between.
The last sentence is my favourite. Yes, I'm a fanfic masochist. There is something so desperately lonely about being the only one left of a family. Did I just say the only one? Ohhh no, and here goes, Dís... aahh... At least she has Thorin in this...

D; (You write the best Thorin ever, I think - that perfect balance between stoic, rebuking uncle and loving father-figure.) I feel so awful for him in this arc! And I could feel Dis' despair when Dwalin mentioned the blood... okay, moving on from here. Too poignant! Especially the last line of this chapter. TOO MANY FEELS! (That's possible?
