this is one of the best AU-type multi-chapter stories i've ever read and i dearly hope you come back and work on it again sometime! there's so much i'd like to say about it but my brain is currently fried so i'll come back to leave a detailed review sometime (especially if you do another chapter one day!)
one of my fave things about this is the attention to detail. you make sure to justify things and explain things that even the canon doesn't really discuss - such as, blackstar using soul as a scythe and the story stating that if he were a regular scythe it would've broken blackstar's arm, but a high resonance rate prevents that - that detail is oddly satisfying, just that you've casually thrown it in there. it really fleshes out the story. i love all of the characters, the dialogue, and the complexity of it.

Oh wow, this is a really cool and unique idea for an AU and I love the way you've written it so far. Seriously, there aren't a lot of unique world exploring AUs for Soul Eater fics, especially concerning the huge role gods and madness play in SE canon. So I'm really enjoying the idea of 'what if for 800 years a god that wasn't Shinigami ruled the world' and the consequences of it and I really like everything you've come up with here. I also liked how you threw in Insane!Kid for a bit, there aren't enough fanfics featuring him and I really hope he shows up again.
Just out of curiosity, how long do you think this fic might end up being? Whatever the case, I really love all the unique ideas in this story and it's plot. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how this is all going to play out. :)

Ad anyway, I was listening to Livin' Le Vida Loca on the radio while listening to this, and it fit perfectly. Though SAIL by AWOLnation also fits pretty well, too. I enjoyed this!

I have no idea why this only ten reviews as this is probably the single most interesting fanfiction I have ever read. I literally cannot stop reading it. The characters are all in charater, and the situation/plot is captivating. Really nice job. I have no objections to pairings, but I would warn against making them too important, as that is all too easy to do. Also, I love the cameo sort of stuff that Liz, Patty, Blackstar, etc. got, it was interesting to see where the other characters were in this world. Hope to see an update soon! :)

I'd prefer no romance, but if you do decide, I'd like to see a pairing with Masamune. I dunno, it'd be interesting. Maybe Maka and Masamune, or Kid and Masamune? *shrugs*

Wait, I never reviewed yet? What? Oh...okay. I honestly love this story now. Insane!Kid is so uncommon to find in stories sometimes! Why did I click on this...well, I read the summary and was hooked. Having Asura and the Black Mass overthrow Shinigami seemed really cool.
And now that you have introduced insanity to certain people this chapter...I love this so much more.
