I discovered the pairing last year, a bit after learning about fanfiction. It is thus an impossible task to catch up with the variety offered.
So in between newly posted WIPs, I am trying to catch up with the iconic stories and Bound to Him is part of them even if it is not yet completed.
But the length of it hold me back for now. So I digging into this story first as I have seen it recommended a few time.
Lovely beginning.

The fact that this is incredibly mushy doesn't detract from the fact that it is also a very good read. I mean, who doesn't appreciate a fluffy story from time to time? I'm certainly not going to complain when Severus gets his happy ending. Thanks!

I know Hermione’s emotional but I’m still disappointed in her. As fellow Order members, she and Minerva both owed Kingsley enough of the benefit of the doubt to ask questions instead of making assumptions. Hermione should be grateful to Kingsley. If not for him, Severus would’ve been sentenced to life in prison at best and they would’ve never known about it. They’re all lucky Kingsley noticed there was a trial being held under suspicious circumstances. He quickly assessed the situation and decided to represented Severus because of his faith in what Harry told him. Despite not being granted time to properly prepare the case, he obtained a better than expected outcome for Severus. He even tried to get around the court imposed, magic enforced gag order so he could inform Hermione (not Harry, Hermione) of what happened to Severus — because they had a child. Despite all of this, Hermione shrieked at Kingsley based on her assumptions of what his thoughts, beliefs, and motivations were. Kingsley said he didn’t know the level of her regard for Severus, not that she didn’t have any at all. Kingsley wasn’t to blame for what happened to Severus, the Wizengamot was. His lack of medical care was the fault of Healer Jennig. The fault for the lack of proper medical follow up was the fault of St. Mungo, not Kingsley. The fact that the Wizengamot kept Kingsley out of the loop, despite his seat on the court and his position as interim Minister, suggests they knew he wouldn’t approve of the trial. Hermione is old enough to know her anger was misdirected. She didn’t even mention going after who was actually at fault. She owes Kingsley a profound apology.

In my never ending self-appointed role of Devil’s advocate, may I point out that Dumbledore didn’t allow the trio to get into mischief for giggles or because he was senile. "The Chosen One" and his faithful were going to get into skirmishes with hardene Death Eaters — they needed training in strategy and combat and it had to happen in a manner that didn’t look like they were being trained! It was best that it happen at Hogwarts were Dumbledore could control as much as possible.
