As much as I like the Orks, the idea that a few thousand of them could charge at the Necrons head-on and only lose two-hundred is hilarious. Were there only ten Necrons or something? The main advantage the Orks have is that they can reproduce faster depending on how many of them die. I can't believe Hostfede didn't take advantage of this and draw the conflict out as best he could until he had a few million Orks, then swarm the Necron tombs.
I guess we could have chalked that up to unfamiliarity with how the Orks usually fight, but considering that he had fought them for a time unspecified, then went on to live under them as a prisoner for two months, I think he has more experience than most.
Maybe I'm just an overly-critical twat...nevertheless, I enjoyed the story.

Well, it's not everyday the Imperium makes a Regiment of Orcs to fight for the Emperor. You would think the Inquisition's Ordo Xenos might... "complain" about it. But than again, if you have the backing of the High Lords of Terra than you have nothing to worry about.

Once again, the Da Orks are both funny as hell and awesome. I'm definitely getting a few for my guard as allies.
As for hostfede, he is a man that is so far out of his element, and yet is square in the middle.

Grakk went out like a true Ork; stomping the sorry gitz who had the nerve to try and hurt his boss. His service to the Emperor will be remembered, as will those of his boyz in arms.
This was a fun story, and a very unique one at that. The humorous orkyness of the combat was well done, and the ending was both satisfying and humbling at the same time. While Orks may never end up working side by side with humans in this fashion, you did a good job in showing what 'could' conceivably result from such an alliance.
Bonus points for that finisher. Gotta love melta bombs. They give you just enough time to make a dramatic mini speech to the bad guy before blowing him to bits.

This was a excellent story. Sad that particular Ork died.
He died in the name of the Emperor so his life was well spent.
The chapter had a fair amount of misused words such as "heretic melee". I did not know there was even such a thing. How would the Inquisition deal with that?
Gonna favorite this story for possible future readings.
