for The Emperor's Greenest

Nice bit of action overview on display here. You've done a good job both showing the victories and defeats of the Emperor's Greenest. They don't seem all that good at tactics, but they wouldn't be very skilled at that to begin with being Orks and all. Plenty of dakka though. That's the important thing.

Ah, I remember that Commissar. The IG stronghold mission in Dark Crusade was one of my favorites due to the mechanics of getting an AI ally after taking him out. Sure those allied troops were entirely useless on even the lowest difficulty, but they were fun to have on your side none the less.

Emperor have mercy on the souls of those about to be slain. Introducing strategy into the minds of Orks is a terrifying thing to be certain. Much like starting a timer connected to an (Orky) nuclear warhead. Once it counts down, there's only going to be ruin and rubble left over.

Good part two, and I'll be eager to see how things turn out in the final chapter.

Orks, Banana's and some poor smuck in the middle? I LOVE IT ALREADY!

oh my god this is brilliant. i have longed for something like this to happen in the 40k universe for quite some time. after all the Orks goals and the imperium's circumstances mesh together quite nicely. Orks crave endless conflict, they seek constant war through which to test themselves, to grow bigger and stronger. The imperium meanwhile is beset on all sides by enemies, indeed the very motto of warhammer 40k is that "there is only war". If this could be communicated to the orks well enough it is almost certain that the imperium could utilize them on a wider scale than simply the occasional mercenary bands they employ from the blood axes. Orks are tough, reproduce rapidly, are relatively simple in terms of their motivations and they have very good morale. On top of that they are unimaginably resourceful, partially because their technology does not actually have to be properly constructed to work and essentially runs on pure orkiness. This has huge potential and i look forward to reading more of this.

Yes I noted that commissar reference pretty well. Govenor Alexander was lucky to have Anton Gebbet. Fun chapter.
Hostede's statement about broken and fixin finally has a opportunity to be a fixin.

Well, this is certainly interesting. I look forward to the (undoubtedly) thrilling conclusion.

This is made of so much win I want this to go on forever. But I will settle for the 3 chapters and be content.

Well. That's an original premise.

But it's true that classic Orks are more boring than Tyranids, and of little use as more than a generic enemy. An alternative interpretation is already something that has great potential. And Hostfede is awesome.

Looking forward to the rest of it!

I will be defiantly enjoying this for it's 3 chapter run.
What a joy it will be.
Hostfede is pretty impressive, may he lead the Emperor's Greenest to glory for the Imperium of Man.

Well... that's an unexpected plot to be sure.

Heh, I've gotta say, the idea of an Ork regiment in the Imperial Guard has a certain charm to it. As a theme, it has a humorously ludicrous appeal to it. Orks don't get much screen-time as the protagonists after all. I think the only races I've seen less of in the spotlight would be Tyranids, Kroot, and Vespids.

The introduction is nicely put together with the nature of the story, giving a good idea of Hostfede's past experiences with the xenos. It makes a twisted sort of sense to have him at the head of the Emperor's Greenest, or at least the closest thing to sense that such an alliance could make.

Looks to be an interesting story. I'll look forwards to seeing where it goes. The Emperor's Green Tide crests, and woe unto those caught in its path.
