In a way, a lucid Luna Lovegood is so much more scarier than a loony one! She makes a whole lot of sense and you know damn well she won't eat everything in sight! Now Dudley has changed drastically! But then he now has something to fight for. This is what I'd expect from a Muggle-born or Muggle-raised. Instead of running around with sticks and shooting magic at their enemies they go and get guns to deal with the Death Eaters. Now if Dudley makes use of all the knowledge he got from watching war movies they won't just get guns. They get Claymores as well. Set two up on either side of a doorway with a door that opens away from them and towards the enemy and you've got a lovely mess.

Maybe if you'd made this a time travel it would work but you keep giving them all this knowledge with no explanation of how they got it which really ruins it.
