Oh this story is simply a slice of heaven. Love the song too! And you are absolutely right...he is still the sexiest man alive!

This was so just sweet and romantic. I loved the setup that it was a 'gazebo' alternative with Georg taking them all to the sea (and interesting that you had Georg cancel the party and break it off with Elsa. I really liked that twist).

Rugged, casual Captain? Yes please! YUM!

Romantic setting of sitting on the beach, watching the sunset then the stars coming out in the evening sky: Wow, swoon - me in a puddle. So romantic. Love love love that!

A hot, sexy Captain snuggling close to Maria pointing out the various star constellations. Yes I'd take that any day.

But then a declaration of feelings, but just a little different with no "i love you"s being uttered at this stage. Instead the "You mean, like you're the one I've been waiting for?" was just perfect. YESSSS...

Finally that kiss. Just magic! Thank you for this story. I really, really loved it.

Happy Birthday Chris.
God, this was fantastic. It's all over with Elsa before it's even really begun, so he's free to be with her. Hot, fluffy and swoonilicious.

LOVED this. I love the way it's AU but still firmly seated in the movie's plot. Such a reasonable thing, and yet one rarely reads stories about it: of course G wants his children to see the sea! This kind of sentence: "Now that intrigue had made way for affection, which was increasingly becoming intensified with a physical attraction he had never expected. Not being sure yet that she returned his feelings, he wished to move carefully." is just so perfectly done, as is "For the last several weeks she'd been fighting the feelings beginning to take hold within her, and now she felt herself losing the battle, knowing that she'd never felt this way about anyone. " It's great the way you show us both their points of view and how they are each attracted to the other yet uncertain. Love your description of ruffled-up G - and yet you've written him to be entirely believable. This just made me melt: "You mean, like you're the one I've been waiting for?" as did the way he pulled her into his arms and that it didn't end with a huge hot steamy clinch. It didn't need to. Just lovely exactly the way it is!

So cute! I love the thought of them gradually progressing to pretty much cuddling as they look at the stars. This is just what I needed this morning!

yup. just what i needed on this dreary wintery morning. a trip to the beach. aaaaah. love the shift in their feelings, softly and carefully, but true and deep. love love love him holding her hand to point out the stars. very smooth move and so very captain. also:
- "Uh, may i?" uh, yes you may! anytime and twice on sundays, captain.
- "you mean, like you're the one i've been waiting for?" love our girl's instincts. if someone like elsa said this, it would have been a strategic play. for maria, it was just heartfelt truth. gah!
- "you'll be in my dreams tonight." gah! gah! whatever will they do in his dreams, i wonder...

great one shot.
