Overall the chapter wasn't bad, but you missed one major point in the recording. It was recorded by the person they had called, which they consented to. If someone attacks a person on the phone and the person they're on the phone with records it, it can be used in a court of law. You don't need consent from the party that attacks you while you're on the phone for it to be used. So they could completely destroy them all with that recording without having to settle it outside of a courtroom. In fact, they'd probably want to take it to court and have Alan disbarred. It'd bring everyone who was guilty down properly and not let them get away with it. Like Alan and the PRT handler were guilty and will likely get away with it for the most part. PRT agent may get fired, but won't face criminal charges for aiding and abetting with all the assaults she covered up. Same with Alan, he'll just go to work like nothing happened unless the place he works at fires him. Even then he can always go to another law firm. Better to have him disbarred and have his daughter arrested.

I love your warning first chap straight out saying what you're willing to do and why to set the boundaries between writer and reader. too often I see authors who take suggestions start to write solely by the suggestions and it becomes no longer their story so props to you for doing this
