This was absolutely beautiful!
Honestly, every part was making me wish this was multi-chaptered. You wrote all of the characters so well-Especially Sera. I've read too many stories where they make her either too standoffish or rude or crude, but you managed to balance her characterization to a fine point! And ugh, Sera's willing to "learn magic" if she could get Evelyn to smile like that again-that was so adorably heartwarming.
And the ending was even more heartfelt. That naked intimacy was so perfect.
I really hope you write future stories with Sera, you do her great justice.
