this is pretty good so far not what I expected out of a Swan Queen fanfic but hey it is what it is please update soon I've probably said this on several other Fanfictions and yes I'm kind of reading a lot of these in succession but yes please update soon

This is a really good fic, and so different from the usual. You've flipped our characters around and made most of them more likable, while reshaping the big baddies. I like that you've made Emma such a dark and light creature, and also managed to give both she and Regina and happiness. I'd like kick Gold in the nuts for messing things up, but it remains to be seen just how much damage he's caused. Anywho, I can't wait for more...

First of all, thank you for writing.
Second, about the review in the previous chapter: I get some of what they're saying, the first part makes some kind of sense, basically the characters are different than in canon because of your spin on the story, so they MAY not have the same feelings/reactions that their canon counterparts have.
BUT, what's probably escaping the reviewer is, if you change every little thing like that, the story will not feel so much as fanfiction but as an original work, that's why they might as well be OCs, but we're not here to read original works, are we? At least I'm here for Swan Queen. And while I won't mind whatever twists and turns you take to the story (you can easily burn the whole town to the ground with all its inhabitants or make Snow & Co. the bridesmaids at the wedding and a permanent fixture on their day-to-day life that all I care about is SQ!happiness), you're not writing an exposé on OUaT and its side-characters, so it's understandable and actually appropriate that even though their circumstances are different they behave canon-like..!
Anyway, in my opinion, in Emma's particular case, she might not be "acting like 'Death'" because she's actively trying to be 'Emma', right? So everything said above does not apply to her...in that case I think the reviewer was way off. And about all of them being raised in Medieval times, well aren't they living in western civilization for some time now? So another thing they got wrong, I guess.
I really think that review was actually a compliment, although coming across as harsh criticism, it was clear they felt you are competent enough to write better characters than the showrunners themselves. And one can clearly see the frustration the show makes many fans feel on the review's first sentences. (I remember after some H00k/H00d heavy episodes I'd feel like pulling my own hair when they so much made an appearance on fics I'd be reading)
In the end, what I want you to know is that you're an amazing writer. I've been reading every Swan Queen fic from you since November 2014 (I checked lol) and lately the SuperCorp fics too (I'm the guest reviewer in My Strength Lives In You), take what you can from reviews but don't let them consume you, remember that there are hundreds if not thousands of people loving everything you write. As long as you keep writing as well as you do (and God, am I picky with writing lol) you'll always have my admiration and support.
Sorry for the long post, I don't review much and then feel guilty when writers seem negatively affected by other people's reviews.. Again, thank you!
