Now I'm confused. When is this suppose to be taking place? Because Up to the beginning of this chapter, I legit thought it was at least eighteen hundreds, and then all of a sudden we're in the 2000s. Probably my fault, but if you could give a clear clue in the first chapters, that'd be great.
Instead of continually writing " my 'master'", just say, "my captor"
