I didn’t read the story but do you want to know what would happen if vegeta survived the first battle against the androids? Vegeta would train and try to go beyond super sayian and he would achieve SSJ grade 2 in 2 ~ 3 month then he will kill the androids end of the story. That’s why it doesn’t make sense for him or goku to survive because they are fighting geniuses
