I know it's been a while since you posted your author's note at the end of ch. 2, but I still wanted to give my thoughts after reading it and they can be condensed to 2 points:
1. While there are plenty of people out there who write because the act itself is fun, people need to accept that there will also always be the other group out there that writes because it's fun AND because they get feedback on the material they're churning out. So I don't think it's petty at all if that's part of the reason why you wright.
2. That said, in my experience I've noticed that a lot of writers focus too much on the here and now gratification that can come from writing fanfiction. Is Toradora old and falling out of relevance? Yeah, and the same is happening to a lot of the other series that I and I'm sure many others (yourself included) grew up watching. That said, I think writers should also take solace in knowing that as long as is around, there will always be people looking through the archives of every show. Will Toradora ever have Naruto tier traffic? Probably not, but I still think there's something nice about knowing that even if it's 5-10 years from now, there will still be people who watch Toradora for the first time, get curious about what original fanfics others have written for it, and find a pleasant surprise when they come across your story.
Sorry for going on a bit of a tangent there, but your authors note touched on a lot of what I've been thinking about myself recently, so I felt like it might be worth sharing. And to anybody who has watched Toradora recently and subsequently found this great story, let us know!

Holy Jeebums I didn't think this would update, what a pleasant surprise! Don't worry dude, what happens in your life comes first, but man am I glad you actually took the time out of your day to upload this.
You're kinda right about an audience not really being there anymore for Toradora, given its age, but there's still a handful of people that really do wanna read stuff from equally or more passionate fans of it, including myself, who only watched it recently as was unpleasantly disappointed at how little there was around.
Feel free to continue writing for it if you really want to, I'll at least be around to read, but if you do feel like it's not worth it or something it's your hobby, you can stop anytime. Again, thanks for uploading this dude.

I love Toradora and I love your writing. It would be great if you started writing again. Having said that if it causes you problems in your daily life or you end up having to force yourself to write to make us happy... please don't cause yourself problems because of us. Write if you want to and for enjoyment.

I still love Toradora. It is my favourite anime, and I will continue to read whatever you put out for Toradora. I'm not quite sure what to say about your feelings you stated at the end of the subject, the only solution I can think of is to keep writing and to see how you feel afterwards. Whatever choice you choose, I wish you good luck.
