for Revelation

Well, this could very well have happened! Who knows? Well told, this crisis!

This is an in-character, well-written magic reveal. These are rare. What's even rarer is that Merlin stands up for himself instead of just taking it. I love that fight; it was completely compliant with both Arthur and Merlin's perspectives. Good job.

Loved it, especially the ending! Well written again and entertaining. Thank you very much.

I really enjoyed this. I'm a sucker for a good reveal and this was that! I didn't get a sense that Arthur was OOC and I *really* liked that Merlin showed some backbone and got in some feisty ripostes of his own (if not his desired hug at the end!)

Nice story! Loved that Merlin got angry and defended himself. Great ending!

That was a great take on a potential reveal, I loved the way it went down and how the two of them argued about it. Thanks for writing this and good luck with future endeavors.

Beautiful history!
I think that is exactly what they have done in that case!
Sorry if my English is not very good, but I think you have to know that I loved the history!
Good luck!

Great story. I'd love to read a sequel where Morgana and mordred come knocking

nice story! I like how Arthur found out, and their conversations were great!

I really enjoyed this...

I feel like you captured the essence of their personalities.

Good luck with your writers muse!

That made me so happy! Thank you! This should have happened in the show! The bromance was perfect!

i've always thought, arthur has /got/ to, at some point, contemplate that b/c merlin came to camelot with magic, what about ulterior motives? and he'd be right, in a sense, merlin stuck with him (at least in the beginning) not for the sake of their friendship (though it got to be that way later on) but for the sake of his destiny, protecting arthur as a future great (read, better than uther) king...
i kind of love the picture of arthur sitting there waiting, just getting madder and madder... i think he makes some good points about loyalty, and the fact that he built the friendship just as much as merlin did... but it's not like he ever could have reassured merlin that an understandable breaking of the law /wasn't/ going to get him punished! :P
good point about betrayal. the definition includes disloyalty and infidelity, which puts merlin right out. buuuut, does include duplicity?... so, hm.
good point too - telling the truth at the wrong time would have been a betrayal of both their destinies...
i like that arthur doesn't get all embarrassed for finding the note - it's my castle, if i want to look under the servants' beds, i'm entirely within my rights. so there.
and thank you for coming back to the reason merlin was missing. so many authors forget to tie up details like that... and i see you skipped the conversation of explaining each event since the beginning, too. ;D
'you assume that i'm keeping you' - best line. for many reasons. :D
merlin's choice to leave was a twist! but a perfectly logical one, which are the best kind... but then arthur heading him off was great, too! and his choice was perfect - yes, there are problems, but i want to face them with you at my side. /and/ his apology. /and/ merlin was going to ask for a hug, wasn't he? :D

Excellent - but what about the hug? Come on Arthur, surely after all this just one little hug... Well if he can't do it, I'm free!
Many thanks. Loved the reveal. Just the right amount of anger, regrets and bromance.
