I've never read your stories before but they are really great. You make so many good points that are true and straight out of the books. I really like this one and the way you ended it.

This story explains Stephanie so well. Why her opinions don't matter. Why she feels food is equal to love. Why she married Dicky. I love the huge wake up call Helen gets. It makes me wonder why Frank stays with such a woman. But love is love. Great short. Thanks for sharing.

I love the way you opened Helen's eyes to how much harm she has done to Stephanie through the years.
And how Helen had turned a blind eye to all of Joe's faults. But no that is NOT the kind of man I would want near any of my children.

Just found this. Love it! So nice to read something positive about Stephanie's parents, especially her mother. Never did think she was a mean woman at heart...just misguided. This is written very well. Thank you.

This is the BEST Frank/Helen story I've ever read. I really don't care if Joe is a good guy or a bad guy (although I must admit that I love stories where he's the bad guy) but I really, really hate Helen Plum. I just love it when she falls off of her Burg pedestal. For many years of my life my mother and I didn't get along. I was her "problem" child but no matter how many really stupid or harmful things I did, she was always there for me. She loved me, she believed in me and she supported me until the day she died. Ultimately, she became my best friend. I just can't imagine how my life would have turned out if I'd had a mother like Helen Plum.

Once again, so amazing to finally hear things that have desperately needed to be said! I would love to hear Helen apologize to Stephanie and Ranger. And tell Joe what a sick, twisted, abusive monster he really is. :)
