Yeah, not sure the psychological is worse than the physical or vice versa. He's been traumatized for sure and when he finally remembers, it will not be pretty.

Oh, Thorin...thank Mahal Fili was able to stop him from manhandling Kili. Can we get the King sensitivity training?
I would be worried about Thorin handling the men of the caravan when they find out out Brogen & Co., but my guess is they aren't much more popular with Men than with Dwarves, since they seem like low-class thugs.

And MY sentence is: This is an other good chapter!
It's very intense. Fili wanting vengeance for his brother and Dwalin remembering Kili's sad state aftermath the attack. They truly love him, it's clear from these thoughts. It's not the "shame" they are thinking of, only the great pain caused to their young cheerful dwarf.
I particularly like Kili's thoughts. He wants punishment for these awful men, but he also knows their death won't take the pain from him. It's a mature thought.
"All it would accomplish was to satisfy Khazad law". So true.

I really like this chapter! :)
Thorin is tough, as usual, but he's the king, and Kili is the second heir of his throne, so he must be direct and strong. Especially now.
Oh, and I like very much how Thorin remembers Kili's innocence, then the day of the attack and how much Kili was hurting, changed.
But my favorite part is when Kili fiercely accuses his attackers. Now he's showing again his strength! Because he IS strong. During the first attack he had a concussion, but he could kill Brogen. He stopped only to protect Fili. I like him very much!
