I really am interested in how Althea and Fili are going to meet (consciously ;) for Althea). I really do love your story an your writing style! And about this chapter specifically, I love how you developed Althea throughout the chapter without just bulletpointing her characteristics. Very nicely done :)

Couldn't resist writing to you in french! I like Alethea alot as a character. Seeing who she is as a person is definitely important and I like that you are taking the time to do that, contrary to many authors. It makes us want to know even more about her.
I would definitely want to see some more Fili! :) Although I have to agree with another reviewer that the rating should go up to M to keep the kiddies away ;)

Great chapter.
I really liked learning more about Alethea. I read your replies to your reviewers in the beginning - I hope that's okay - and you're right in saying that you want the readers to care about your main character. We already care (love/lust) Fili and Kili, but we need to care about Alethea, too. She is all for Fili after all.
I thought you did a good job with showing her as a mediator. She knew the old woman was wrong, but she also understood the reason behind the call for help. Fili's next in line for the throne, so his female needs to be level headed. I'm sure you'll give Fili his own faults along with Alethea, but that's what makes characters fun to read - when they're a mix of good and bad, in other words, realistic.

I like this story a lot. It's different than the typical modern girl story.
The only slight criticism I offer is that your chapters are too short. Right when things start to happen, they cut off. I'd consider fleshing them out a bit more, cover more time or simply have more events occur within them.

Interesting.
I feel like Kili - sneaky, whiney, cutie pie Kili - is going to figure out something's up with his big brother before it even occurs to Fili that it might be time to let his little brother in on his secret. But what happens when Fili is on the move? Like if he returns to his home before the quest and leaves the current town he's in with his uncle and brother? Does she follow him there, or is like playing hide and seek?
But you said that she is eventually not going to return to her world/reality... that will be a most interesting moment in the story. Does some other character have a hand in that?

I'm liking how this is different from the usual 'falling through a portal into another world' thing that's common in hobbit fanfics, it reminds me a lot of the Dreamfall video games (not sure if you've heard it or are even into video games lol :))
I'm going to be a pervert and say that I hope this gets bumped up to an m rating, but it's still going to be good if you don't :)
