I don't know if you are still working on this or planning to do anything with it, but I would like to see it bloom some more, especially the part about the science project. I laughed at the joey-bashing, and I think it would be awesome if you developed that more. As for general improvements, I think that things move a little too fast in this story, and it would help if you slowed down and elaborated more while you developed it.
